@Toddy played lock at school! Now you mention it I guess he mostly played blindside for Italy etc. He's definitely taller than 1.83m though....

Disappointing no one has done Tauranga Boys College.

CBA but here is the list of ABs:

    Daniel Braid - All Black
    Mick Bremner - All Black
    Peter Burke - All Black
    Sam Cane - All Black
    Adrian Cashmore - All Black
    Stuart Conn - All Black
    Wayne Graham - All Black
    Nathan Harris - All Black
    Jarrad Hoeata - All Black
    Greg Kane - All Black
    Tanerau Latimer - All Black
    Greg Rowlands - All Black
    Paul Simonsson - All Black
Owen Stephens - All Black and Wallaby; rugby union and rugby league
    Royce Willis - All Black

Chuck Kane Williamson at 9 if necessary and gold medallists Burling and Drysdale if you really need to make up the numbers.

Love a man creating his own disappointment in himself.

That's an awful lot of "bubbling under" players there (apart from Sam Cane who spent the first half of his career bubbling under).

This is my best effort at a Te Awamutu College first XV; surprisingly strong for a little country town from the Waikato (I imagine that Forest View would be have an interesting team too, but fuck those guys):

    1. Ray Dalton
    2. Warren Gatland
    3. Nathan White
    4. Steve Gordon
    5. Chris ‘Ox’ Gibbes
    6. Jono Gibbes
    7. Rob Gordon
    8. Um
    9. Um
    10. Nicky Little
    11. Sam Griffin
    12. Um
    13. Mathew Priscott
    14. Wayne Barr
    15. Bruce Reihana

@mofitzy_ That's not a 1st XV, that's just a list of ABs that went to TBC. C'mon, a bit more effort.

    @Stargazer

    1. Peter Burke
    2. Nathan Harris
    3. Wayne Graham
    4. Jarrad Hoeata
    5. Royce Willis
    6. Tanerau Latimer
    7. Daniel Braid
    8. Sam Cane
    9. Owen Stephens
    10. Kane Williamson
    11. Paul Simonsson
    12. Greg Kane
    13. Peter Burling
    14. Greg Rowlands
    15. Adrian Cashmore

3 opensides and no props. Figured Kane was too quiet to play 9 and you know he'd be a master place kicker.

Rob would be the no.8. You could put Carla Hohepa in the backline. No one has said this has to be a male only team.

I could make up a silly fantasy team myself and chuck Mark Keddell (comm games sprinter) on one wing, Matt Henry on the other and what the hell, why not have half of Parliament who went to SBC make up a super argumentative and niggly tight five 🙂

Based on the number of ABs, the other schools would include Sacred Heart, Christs, NPBHS and Southland BHS. Feilding has produced a lot of recent/current ABs.

And surprisingly, Timaru BH has 18 ABs.

Wesley College would have as good a backline as any school.

    Francis Douglas MC

    1 Shane Cleaver
    2 Liam Coltman
    3 Deacon Manu
    4 Scott Barrett
    5 Leon Power
    6. Kane Barrett
    7 Du'Plessis Kirifi
    8 John Mitchell
9 Paul Williams (the referee, not sure he's good enough as a player, but he played club rugby)
    10 Beauden Barrett
    11 Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens (added)
    12 Teihorangi Walden
    13 Conrad Smith
    14
    15 Jordie Barrett

    Reserves:
    16 Ricky Riccitelli

@Stargazer Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens is first year out of school but is part of the NZ Sevens squad. He could play on the wing.

Paul Mitchell must have went to FDMC too. A better hooker than Riccitelli.

@mikedogz You need a lock. Tukino?

After a quick look at the EONZR other ex Wesley players of note include Sotutu and Mapusua. Wiremu Maunsell and Shannon Paku were at St Stephens. Lindsay Raki (Manurewa) might be one to avoid. 🙂

I thought he went to Hato Paora?

Also do we select them on their senior positions of their school positions? Should Jonah be a forward?
