Just a smidgen over 6kgs lost now, the last kg was bloody hard. Just half a kg away from 80 and now I'm off on holiday.

Challenge now is not to put it all back on over the next two weeks. Much easier going the other way!

Sweet Jesus. I got pissed off at the rate of weight loss and upped the intensity (and order) of the cardio and went last night and this morning. Had some fluids and thought I'd check out the weight anyway.

79.6kg! First time under 80kg in over 5years and exactly 7kgs lost so far in 8 weeks.

That's two goals achieved, next stop 75kg.

Holiday wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, have only put on 2kgs. Considering the change in diet/alcohol and lack of exercise that's acceptable.

Now to get back into it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Still rocking on. Taking a bit to get back to 80 again - damn holiday! Am under 81 though so it's coming.

Annoyingly, that puts me at exactly the halfway mark to 75kg. 5.8kgs lost, 5.8kgs to go <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Weight loss has gone from an easy 1.3kg off a week, to horrible small numbers like 0.3 and 0.4. Long journey, small steps.....

On a brighter note, I no longer fit my new suit (bought at peak porkiness) and almost don't fit my other suit either. So clothes are getting much, much looser. Almost lost my double chin too, so it's still coming off just not showing on the scales so much.

Probably. Also have been re-calculating the food thing and I've been having too few calories (500 too few a day) which will be buggering things up too (body thinks it's starving). Going to ease that up a bit and see if starts coming off again.

Have almost got my legs sorted for running too, so that will shock the body a bit with a different type of exercise.

Very good day today. I've had to buy another suit because my current suit got a little baggy.

Old suit: 36inch waist
New suit: 32inch waist with room to spare <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

March was a crap weight loss month, only lost 1.5kg (thanks to the holiday) but am starting the new month on 80.3kgs and the legs are ready to run again after my physio. That should help kick start the weight loss again too.

Had to retire the belt today, as it no longer serves it purpose <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Was down on the lowest notch (moved in two from beginning of Jan) and now that's too loose as well.

Also checked my jacket measurement. Gone from a 42 to a 38 (loose fitting too)

Weight constant though.

Bloody hell Kir, having to spend money, that could have gone on beer, on a suit. I would be fuming.

I only had two suits (both with the same measurements). One is a Baron style cheapo suit from Next(!) the other was an expensive one from Jaeger - but I got two years value out of that one.

The Next one was cheap, so not too worried about only getting a few months out of that.

The new suit is a Hugo Boss expensive job. An incentive to stop me ballooning up again. I normally don't have to wear a suit to work, but the current place is pretty strict on that.

Oh, and the legs didn't swell up again after my first three runs either. Big relief.

Splashed out on new shoes for that too.

Can you spot the guy having a last selfish splurge before the baby comes?

Here's a way to lose 1.3kg in one day.

Start the day with Hot Cross Buns with plenty of butter. Start drinking in the sun around 2pm , wolfing down a burger for good measure- continue to 9pm mixing your drinks (beer, vodka, bloody champagne - who's idea was that?) end the night with some KFC. Get home eat your big easter egg (getting chocolate on the couch and your wife).

Go to sleep and start puking around 3am. For added benefit throw ins some beer shits <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Harsh way for get my second under 80kg weight measurement.

We after the weekend booze up my body rehydrated back to 81kg, which was what I was before Easter. Very happy not gain any weight over that period.

Have finally got the greenlight from the physio to start running again, and by christ what a difference to the workout. Everything else is much harder, so stuff I was just coasting on (without meaning too, like the cycling) is now back to a hard grind.

Last nights workout was so tough that it took me three hours to get to sleep, and I still hurt.

Just a smidgen over 80kgs, this week's target is under 80 and keep in there for consecutive days. The scales have been dropping under 80kg after workouts quite regularly now, so i am tettering on edge of my second main target.

Good grief, last post April 2007!

Have predictably regained all the weight lost, and then some. Have been sick on and off for almost three weeks, and have decided to get healthy, and as a result thinner.

Am going to give the Body for Life a crack, and see how that goes. I like the clear approach and the recording of progress, that helps my motivation no end. Now to go dust of the scales, this ain't going to be pretty.

Target is under 75kg by the end of 12 weeks.
