    After a quiet start to the season, Lincoln McClutchie is getting better and better. With our shortage of good 10s in NZ, it would be stupid if he doesn't get signed, this year.

    He does have a touch of the Ihaia West about him. Could get himself a SR contract, but I wouldn’t go as far as say stupid if not picked up given he’s only 20 years old.

    @ACT-Crusader He's 21 and in his 3rd Mitre 10 Cup season. IMO, it's time.

    I thought I heard in a game earlier this season the comms say he was only 20?

    @ACT-Crusader The comms make mistakes, too. He's from April 1999. Fakatava is still 20.

    I’m only going by what I heard.

    Not sure who run these websites, both have him at 20?

    @ACT-Crusader The HBRU haven't updated the player profiles sufficiently for 2020. You can find his date of birth on last year's site:

    The Hawke's Bay Magpies are the official representative team of the HBRU.

    Let's not get ahead of ourselves, depends if the Canes Magpies quota is filled or not, plus there's a danger of him being number 1 and then having to start regularly which would be pretty unpalatable to the Wellingtonians in charge of the Canes. 😉

    Will Tucker would be another if he doesn't have a full contract with the Highlanders yet.

    Kneepkens (Taranaki) : great finisher and solid all round player. He's really fast.

    He’s signed to NZ Sevens for 2 years

    Alamanda Motuga if not playing Samoa sevens. Sam Slade. I believe Cameron Roigard has minor contract with the Chiefs. No other new guys from counties.

    Luke Campbell may be worth a look after sparking bop resurgence. Joe Johnston Stan Van Den Hoven and Matt Garland might all become contenders if they continue their form in coming weeks. Very interesting now that the form in top division has swung round so abruptly.

    On the Newshub story about TJP the other night they hinted that the Hurricanes were the only team that had a position available at halfback. That would suggest Milo-Harris is contracted to the Chiefs for 2021. Bad news for Roe as well, if true.
