Kommandant von Bästard back today and he apparently produced this set while brushing his teeth before he left this morning.

    500m warm-up of various shit....then

400m (first 100 max) then 40 mb squats, 40 pushups, 40 shoulder press, 40 mb lifts

Then that was repeated but with 300 and 30, 200 and 20 and 100 and 10.

That first 400 was hard but actually went really well. Feeling amazing but I suspect I will hit that wall later.

Reading this had inspired me to get out on the deck on the Bach and do some core work and TUT diamond push ups. Aw hang on, it’s raining. Might crack a beer instead, I am on holiday after all.

Because no one is attracted to a fat fluffybunny that’s why.

These last few days have been all about breweries and pub grub. Awesome blow out....we had planned a few bush walks ( and the other half did the Waitomo trail run ) but the weather is putting a stop to that for the time being.

Back into the routine midweek assuming my extra weight doesn’t ruin the suspension on the car.

    3 sessions yesterday 😳.
Boot camp in morning, weights at lunch and swimming at night. Slept very well.

Boot camp was pretty good. Can understand why these are popular. 40sec at different stations. Worst was pushups, dips, burpees then battle ropes. Nasty but awesome.

Yeah hadn't done them for years. Good stuff. Would happily do the boot camp instead of jogging.

Thursday: Was pretty sapped after the previous day's overload, but had a decent leg day.

Friday: Shoulders. Finding shoulder press with kettle bells is the bomb. Late to the party on that one but good shit.

Coach Hitler von Bästard Fücker is filling in for swimming again tomorrow so I'm expecting to get right royally fooked up.

As long as it's heavy enough. Got pretty primitive during lockdown. Had a bucket full of bricks. There will be a massive glut of cheap, barely used gym equipment on the market when Covid is officially over.

Very active weekend. As expected was hammered by Coach Hitler. There's something rather degrading about bear crawls along the side of a pool but they smash you good. Went for a long walk after that with the gf and had a shit load of garden work. Was about 36 degree so was absolutely fooked in the end.

This morning was similar to Saturday. Felt ok immediately after but then hit a wall. This is really good shit!

Funny there's been mention on the Grumpy Man thread of fat carnts telling fit people they're thin. Had that from an aunt I've not seen in ages while shovelling her face with cake. You have to laugh don't you.

    Shit, Thursday already!

Pretty good week. Definitely happy I added a steak meal to weekly diet. Was flagging a bit today.

Youngest had his first weight session today. Hope to do some boot camp with him during the holidays.

    Friday shoulders - yay

Sore shoulder much better but still conscious of not aggravating it. Can learn to live with it but will probably have to see the physio one of these days.

Anyway, good session. Very much digging the kettlebell shoulder press

Swimming boot camp thingy today with Himmler's spawn.

3x25 max effort swim then easy 25. Followed by 25 shoulder press, 10 burpees, 10 ab rollers, 20 kettlebell swings and 16 medicine ball pickups.

    Did that 5 times 😩

Really loving these. Tbh it appeared easier than whatever horrible butterfly drill some of the kids were doing. Shoulder felt good too so hopefully that problem will soon be behind me 🤞

Double up today. Weights in the am, swimming in the PM.

Weights was ok but swimming was one of those times that I felt amazing. Absolutely smashed it. Wish it was like that every time. Could have gone another half hour. Was feeling pretty damn tired immediately prior, but the body tis a strange thing.
