    @nepia cheers
    any streaming box recommendation then

Oh, I'm an Apple TV guy (as mentioned above) but understand not everyone is as keen on them, or willing to fork out the cash for them. (Their 4k Apple TV seems very expensive these days).

I'm just not an Android guy, hence the shudder. I'm sure some of the Android fans on here can give you some recommendations as I have no idea outside of Chromecast which I don't consider a box (if I had any idea where my Chromecast was I would have happily donated it to you, but I just had a look in my usual old tech drawer and it's not there).

@ploughboy What do you want to watch with a streaming box? Vodafone TV could be an option as long as you have an unlimited fibre plan. I've no first-hand experience of this box as I use an Apple TV as well.

Have a look at this link. You would still need to pay for Sky Sport.

If you want just SkySport and not a Sky package you still have to do it separately and cast with that. It's a good box if you have good internet. I use it and it is good for the basics (Netflix, Neon, TVNZ) but you can't add others.

    Nope.
I use it simply as my conduit for normal TV. It's an easy UI and easy to jump to Netflix. Just a box to connect to the internet for free TV (and Sky if you want to add it)

Apple TV or Firestick would be my go. Apple TV has the bonus of easy casting if you use apple devices. Firestick the advantage of being very cheap.

Yep. On a monthly no contract basis. Minimum is the Sky standard package then add sport/movies etc

No. SkySportNow is only available via web browser or phone/ipad app.

Although Chromecast looks like it may be an option as well.

    Sky Sport Now streaming options:

PCs and Macs (running IE, Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari).
Apple Devices: OS 11 and above
    Apple TV (4th Generation)
Android Devices (running Android 7 or above)
HDMI out from PC/Mac, AirPlay and Android Mirroring are supported if you have a compatible TV.
    Available on Google Chromecast.
    Select Samsung Smart TVs
    Select Panasonic Smart TVs
    PlayStation 4.
    Select Sony Bravia Android TVs
    SmartVU X Freeview streaming device
TCL Smart TVs running Android TV
    Nvidia Shield
We recommend running the latest operating system on your device, to ensure the best streaming experience.

    yes.

I have been using SkySport Now for a while with a mixture of trials, full payment and currently a discounted deal because I cancelled and they lured me back.
I cast from phone/tablet to the TV.
To be honest though I am thinking of switching up to the VodaTV option for an extra $18 just for the convenience factor.
I can't easily flick between two sports channels on the app and certainly can't flick from normal TV to sports without changing input etc.
Getting a bit sick of the occasional freeze/cut out via the app as well (very painful when watching cricket)
SSN is $39.99 a month and basic Sky with Sport added is $57.99
