    @stargazer More likely than starting I reckon is DMac getting time at 10 later in the game (either this week or next). They'll also want to give some injured players a start next week (ALB, Ardie, Vaai) although those 2 of those 3 probably feature in the 'strongest' team anyway. It was interesting to hear Foster say that so many positions are up for grabs.

    @kiwimurph I'd really like to see the Havili-ALB combo starting, next week.

    Right, Pat T better bring that Super form into the test level. Put a Blues shirt under the black one!

    Are we going to do the same with Frizell and Mo'unga? 🎣

    Canes/blues/Landers should've but a black jersey on under Nonu's franchise one!

    Nope, Nonu was generally good for the Canes, in the year Hammettuer gave him the boot he was probably the best player in the team.

    Plus, I was trying to illicit some Cantab frothing. 😉

    Makes sense - the theme being those who didn't start last week start this week with a few exceptions.

    So with this rotation, could this mean that Dmac will start at 10, with Mo'unga in the 22 jersey, next week? And BB getting a rest? That seems to be the pattern? Would be a bit strange to start the best 10 against the weakest team (Tonga) and not getting a start against Fiji! Or will they go for the strongest line-up next week (whatever they see as the strongest team)? E.g., Whitelock and Retallick both starting.

    Can't really see that happening.

    There's not an urgent need to develop DMac into a world class first five, when we've already got RM and BB battling it out to start. Barring injuries, I'll be surprised to see DMac in the 10 jersey this season.

    Yeah, it didn't look right when I wrote it, but I've just had my second Pfizer jab so my brain is a bit mush outside of accurately rating rugby player's abilities.

    @nepia You lucky bastard!

    I'm more than a month away from my first jab and I've had to clock up years to get that.

    My sister in Hastings beat me just by walking her dog after work past the vaccination station. Surely you can try the same in your neck of the woods?

    I don't have a dog, so I'd have to take the cat.

    Probably more likely to get picked up by animal welfare trying that! 🙂

    Sevu Reece had better hope that Fiji do not have much ball as I suspect his opponent might be a bit of a handful come tackle time if he is the same size he was the last time I saw him play.

    @higgins Reece will also be a handful for Nadolo if he has the ball. It's speed v strength, small v big.
