France building some depth when you realise that forward pack wasn't their 6N team. The backline would run better with Dupont, Jalibert and Fickou too.

Well-deserved win to the French! Pretty happy with that result from the French C team!

First win for 31 years in Australia unbelievable

When the commentators (over)use of the “famous victory” actually means something tonight…

Enjoyed that match. Flawed but entertaining. Aussie need JOC Daugunu Hodge Petaia White and Ikitau starting in support of the magnificent Koroibete. Awful backline errors although Banks and Lolesio had some very good moments.
How good were Woki and Jaminet though?

I literally didn't understand a word of Koroibete's answers to the interviewer's questions.

The analysis post game is insightful - " the French just looked really well prepared , great game plan to build pressure and to take points and keep the scoreboard ticking over "

    Enjoyed these mid-week games.

Aussie are still too inaccurate in most things. Seems a continuation on from last year.

It's looking more and more like it was Smith who was the main (coaching) reason behind the Chiefs two titles.

@toddy Rennie is fine. No one could slap together a real test side with a bunch of under 20s and blokes like Banks.

Is it just me, or do the Wallabies not look nearly pissed off enough post-game?

Wow, these tackle stats from the French. They were made to work for their win.

    Tackles made - Tackles missed
    Vincent: 25 - 2
    Jelonch: 23 - 1
    Diallo: 23 - 3
    Cazeoux: 20 - 2
    Three players with 15 tackles.

    So it’s a cattle issue?

Robbie Deans has entered the conversation 😎

France still fun on the counter attack

Woki, the French no7 has been awesome tonight.

Big brute isn't he? Potential superstar

I thought the same with Rennie's interview to be honest.

It is, I wouldn't have guessed it was that lop sided.

The Wallabies showed signs of good structures but let down badly by individual decision making and skill execution. Particularly in the backline. Hearing backs complain about effort at the breakdown as if that was the failing would be fucking galling as a forward in the sheds.

Get a head start on the scoreboard, then defend for ages, make a few plays on counter, get some penalties, and then defend some more.

I hate this crap at the back of a ruck when a halfback has his hands on the ball for a good 5-6 seconds and the defence can’t do anything.

I noticed in the Sharks-Lions game Peyper said to the halfbacks early in the game that if you roll/slide the ball back from a ruck with your hands it is out. I wish all refs did that.

Perhaps a recognition they were beneficiaries of considerable luck in the first fixture?

If the ABs cannot beat this Wallaby team my more than 20 points, even away, then they'd have to worry for the next NH tour.
