Waikato v Taranaki

@bovidae geez what is going on with the loosies??
Finau must be injured, as is Lam. I also wouldn't be surprised if Messam didn't travel to Tauranga. Parker has been injured since SR so the options at no.8 are limited. No cover for Jacobson on the bench so here's hoping he plays the 80 mins.
Are you going to the game? I see that tickets are $25, so how does that compared to BOP games at the Tauranga Domain?

@bovidae thanks. Hoping to make it... If I can walk tomorrow. Managed a calf injury through interclub tennis tonight and am feeling it now. Thought Hugh Nankivell might have got a run.
I am not a fan of tauranga domain as a rugby venue. That price might be par. Parking nearby is a nightmare with roadworks and cones galore. -

Waikato will be limited to using the players they have in Tauranga. I don't know how big that squad is, or who is even there. Lam was the only other no.7 named in the original squad. There would be options without the covid border restrictions. Nankivell is definitely the most obvious. Quade Tapsell is another, but I note that he is on the bench for Poverty Bay, so must have gone back home.

@yeetyaah looks a bit bulkier compared to a couple of seasons back .

Taranaki exploited the sun very well. Hoisted several kicks directly into it and caused errors. Thought it was a 12 to 15 point wind so I expect Taranaki will be very disappointed despite fantastic goalkicking from Perofeta. Waikato locks and hooker were very prominent and Waaka and Wrampling look dangerous. Best I have seen Kini Naholo play.
