    Goodhue's defence has been aggressive.

Lineouts look terrible for the blues so far. Compete dysfunction

Love looking good at 10 for Canes - I reckon he has bulked up a wee bit

Our kicking from hand has been terrible.

Impressions of the first quarter ..
Canes playing in the right part of field, good strong carrying from the forwards .
Blues breakdown work inaccurate and that Hori old chestnut, when the Blues have’nt got the ball = indiscipline

Set piece and kicking could do with some work.

RTS watch: He looks pretty confident on defense - he’s really communicating with others and constantly talking. On attack I think Ive only seen two passes so far.

Is the wind blowing down or across the field?

I did not expect the Canes to be so dominant up front. Even their scrum is holding its own. That Lakai looks to be a big unit.

Hurricanes currently leading 14-0 with a penalty try resulting from a driving maul close to their line. Second try was similar but the Canes scored from it. Ruben Love controlling things nicely and putting the Canes in the right areas of the park.

As I write this, the Blues get a driving maul of their own and it’s 14-7.
