I've paid a lot of attention to the men's and women's basketball tournaments since the elite 8. There has been some great basketball and some great storylines. Geno Auriema's UConn team made an unlikely run, they are so fun to watch with their unselfishness and the way they play as a team, but collided with a buzz saw in South Carolina yesterday. SC were so good it looked like women vs girls.

Tonight's final will pit Kansas vs North Carolina, who put out Duke and coach K for his final time in the semifinal. Their star centre turned his ankle in the semi so they better hope he can play close to 100%

I hope that Kansas wins as my time watching Illinois coincided with Bill Self's tenure as coach. College basketball is great to experience live.

In the women's, UConn and Tennessee dominated for so long so it's been good to share the titles around in recent years.

It's amazing how many spectators they get to be able to fill half of an NFL stadium. I don't think I'd pay to watch from the top tier

Well, that was a game of two halves.

@bovidae Wow, what a game. Kansas cranked up their defence, Love Bacot and Manek went cold (and then Bacot re-injured his ankle), and KU finally got some scoring from deep, along with two huge plays by their centre

@canefan Good to see plenty of ex-players/coaches in the crowd too.

Yeah. A who's who of UNC and KU ball. No MJ though, or maybe he was hiding up in a skybox

A strange tournament this year where none of the top seeds even made it to the Elite 8. The highest seed left in the Final Four is UConn at 4th.

That UConn team are tough too. Can’t wait for that game against Miami.

I’m loving the tourney this year. Princeton’s run. Kansas State’s run.

The Cinderella of the F4, Florida Atlantic with their shooting and effort. They come up against a San Diego St side who surely have the best weights program in all of college hoops.

For the women I’m all in on Iowa and Caitlyn Clark. That girl can play lights out and has that edge too. I just don’t want South Carolina. I was never a huge fan of Dawn Staley as a player and for whatever reason this SC side bugs.

@ACT-Crusader Who have you got to win it? UConn?

It would be great to see a first-time winner.

Really hoping Florida Atlantic. Love how they play and they are the unlikely F4 team, even though 3 out of the 4 are playing in their first F4.

That Miami v UConn game is a flip of the coin matchup. Both can catch fire. UConn have dominated their opponents in the tourney with all winning margins 15+ points. The switch has flipped since that heartbreak loss in that Big East semi to Marquette. Sanogo and Hawkins are tough covers because not only can both score but they pass well.
