Denver should have won by 20. Playcalling and coaching cost them the game.

Plenty to like if you are a Broncos fan - Sutton and Jeudy look great, Russ was cooking, backfield was firing. They were all over the Seahawks D.

And yet they lost. Can't win the Superbowl with that sort of playcalling.

the fucking time to get plays set was a huge issue as well. Couple of "delay of games" and so many hurried plays as the clock hit the two zeros

Seattle had a sort of soak defense that gave up a shit tone of yards right up to the red zone. Red zone offence was pretty fucking ordinary (couple of good defensive plays admittedly).

Trey Lance is going to be out for a long time with what looked like a broken ankle.

Justifies the 49ers decision to keep Jimmy G who looks his normal self following offseason surgery.

week 1 madness bleeds in to week 2

    The Giants won again!
    The Patriots won
Jacksonville not only win but blank a side
The fucking Jets win. And by scoring 2 touchdowns inside the last 2 minutes.
    Detroit wins
    It's madness

@mariner4life The Dolphins scored 28 points in the 4th quarter to win by 4 points with Tua throwing 6 TDs!

    @KiwiMurph

Browns and Ravens competing to see who has the biggest choke. Last a team came back from a 13 point deficit was in 2001. First Jets win in September since 2018.

Ravens gave up so many points but the Browns had:
Kareem Hunt run out of bounds just before the two minute warning (Chubb scored on the next play so not a huge difference maker)
Chubb scoring the TD when taking a knee would have allowed the browns to wind down the clock then kick a field goal (kind of unusual to do that but media love calling that stuff out)
Missed PAT to keep the lead at 13
    Conceded a successful onside kick
Threw a pick when driving to get into field goal range

lol and now the Raiders give up 23 2nd half points, while scoring 3, to lose in overtime.

At least Denver got home on the back of 1 good drive.

Niners' Lance breaks ankle, will undergo surgery

Niners' Lance breaks ankle, will undergo surgery

Trey Lance will have season-ending ankle surgery Monday, according to coach Kyle Shanahan, after suffering the injury early in Sunday's win against the Seahawks.

Talk about an inspired move keeping Jimmy G on the roster

the drums are beating in Denver for an absolutely unheard of coach firing. No one gets fired inside the season of their first year.

But i have seen Hackett's first 2 weeks now described as the WORST career start ever. And it's hard to disagree.

The play calling. The decision making. the complete lack of preparedness. The game management. there is nothing there. And that's 100% on the HC. He's in real trouble already.

He won't get as much time for learnings as some lucky coaches

@mariner4life The Broncos schedule gets really brutal at the end of the season - in the final 5 weeks they play the Chiefs (twice) as well as Chargers and Rams.

I watched the Trey Lance injury. The kid has to realise he shouldn't run into the line like a running back

Just caught up on this game. Was pretty entertaining and enjoyed the finish. A career night for Tua. I think I heard he matched Super Dan for throwing 6 TDs. Not bad for a young fella.

I'd like to see Buffalo win it all while most of the players of their great 90s teams are still alive to celebrate it. They still have to go through KC but they are a juggernaut right now.

Of course they are trumped if this story ends at the SB

A heartfelt goodbye and a shocking reunion: How Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers came together again

A heartfelt goodbye and a shocking reunion: How Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers came together again

From his farewell Zoom last season, through a shoulder surgery that changed his trade calculus, and now back at QB1 after a broken ankle sidelined his replacement, Trey Lance, here is the behind-the-scenes story of Jimmy G's epic saga with the Niners.

    @sparky this is peak entertainment.

Has been interesting going from watching Rugby to turning on the league - a simpler, more structured game, but damned if the presentation and accessibility isn't massively higher. NFL takes it to another level.

The stats are just nuts; they had one on a team that hasn't lost at home to a QB with 'O' in their name, and the length of the streak. Like WTAF. Who's getting paid to find this shit out.

found it! Streak now broken, stood at 20.

Since the start of the 2021 calendar year, the Dolphins are 0-9 when the opposing starting quarterback doesn't have an "o" in his last name. Conversely, they've won 11 straight against quarterbacks whose last name includes an "o." This has held true for 20 STRAIGHT GAMES. The last time it didn't happen was Week 16 of the 2020 season, when Ryan Fitzpatrick's miraculous completion helped lift the Dolphins over the Raiders and signal-caller Derek Carr.
