I did some of these the other night instead of close grip benching. Holy shit the tri's are killing me ! obviously you have to lift a lot less than when benching but the pain and discomfort means they must be good. Does anyone else do these ? I'm certainly going to throw them in every now and again from now on. Not counting warm ups I only did 3 sets of five as well so hardly overdoing it !

hate them, but have them in my programme all the time, so they must be good!! Along with close grip bench when on chest days.

Someone took your weights ? I'm generally not a fan of that one armed stuff cos my right arm can never quite get as many good reps as my left. A bit like when Arnie held Sully over the cliff in Commando with his "weak arm"

Do more on the right then, build it up mate! Triceps are crucial for snowboarding (getting up off your ass after doing bindings up/bailing) and I found those got them cranking more than close grip BP's.

Don't worry dude I do but I'm sure everyone agrees that they are a tiny bit weaker on their less dominant side ie when benching to failure my right side gives out before my left. Its not like I have one huge arm and the other a twig ! strangely enough I can grip harder with my right which may be because that is my fretting hand while playing bass.

Skull Crushers have been in and out of my workout for the last 3 years... i usually cycle Cable extensions, standing behind the head dumbell extensions, dips (slow on the decline stresses the tris massively) and my current fave, lying tri dumbbell extensions (10 across the chest, 10 behind the head) - I find these give me the best burn atm.

Did some more the other night and feeling a "good" hurt after adding a couple of kg to them. They are an exercise I love and hate equally I think !
