    @mariner4life A little concerned about their midfield though. Pretty much dominated by England but size and speed are good attributes and the ability to finish.

    But England are actually good. I’d say this England team would beat Croatia, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands.

    @ACT-Crusader or they can just be England and not live up to expectations. I think the US midfield was better than England. But agree they dominated the French mid.

    I thought that Griezmann was the most influential midfielder in the England-France game. I expect he will do the same against Morocco.

    But can they do the business when it counts? Their problems are the same as my club team's problems, they don't seem to be able to identify and nurture a ball playing CAM, someone like Luka Modric who knits everything together and creates chances for the rest of the team. Kane drops back and does it about as well as any of them, only trouble is he is generally the best finisher as well

    @Machpants wherever he's from, Maguire is a cockhole still.

    I reserve the right to backpedal when Whitelock says something similar next year.

    Two changes for France:

    Rabiot --> Fofana
    Upamecano --> Konate

    Mbappe killed twice in the last couple of minutes. Second as a result of a fatal shoelace injury.

    I think the winner of this game probably will win it all. Don't think that Argentina can handle the pace and size on both teams.

    Well one of those classic games where one team takes their opportunities and the other does not, well played France.

    Without Lloris, France would be just another team.

    Morocco were a little bit unlucky but it's all about putting the ball into the back of the net.

    Not totally sure on that as Argentina play a cagey game - but they do have Otamendi and any team with him in the side is vulnerable. Should be a good final.

    Argentina were also vulnerable when the Netherlands put the ball into the box, and Giroud is the perfect target.
