French dive and are just generally unlikeable. Aussie success reminds me of when our basketballers got to the semis. Showing my age here…

I’m not a fan of penalty shootouts to decide a result (but I don’t think it can be decided any other way).

I do love the drama though.

Was just chatting to Mrs Boo about how the original incarnation of MLS in the 80s used to have a one on one with the keeper. Much like hockey does now.

Wouldn't mind that as an alternative.

    England with the right tactics

    Go hard early

Guzman looks like she's part of the Colombian cartel

2002 - One of my favourite moments in sport. If not for Dirk Nowitzki’s second half we get a bronze…

Aussies were diving a bit. I thought it was pretty even on the diving stakes.

England dominating possession but not really creating chances in the first 25 minutes.

England being too tentative on attack, they need to get shots on goal

That was a decent chance for Daly there. Maybe a bit static to trouble the keeper

Columbia look more likely to come up with a moment of magic. England playing typical England style. Quick and physical in midfield and defence, but a lack of creativity and touch in and around goal. English girls like to drive into a dead end, instead of driving to goal

England are effectively playing with a back 5. Russo is very isolated up front.

Goalkeeper did a David Seaman, Santos did a Ronaldinho

I'm not sure England have it in them to attack with abandon and get the equaliser. These Colombians are clever in possession but tough in defence

Good ball into the box for England but no one on the end of that.

No end product is the story of English World Cup football for decades

Lauren Hemp equalises after the Colombian keeper drops one. Was there a foul in there?

The Colombian keeper had a shocker there. 1-1.

England look stronger when they use the width of the massive Stadium Australia pitch.
