14: Jonah Lowe
15: Tiaan Falcon
Reserves: Jacob Devery, Mark Braidwood, Jarvy Aoake, Nicholas Palmer, Brad Weber, Hayden Hann, To’o VaegaI thought Weber was out for the season?
Great to see Jonah Lowe back and starting, but I would prefer he was playing 13
No specialist 7 -
@Stockcar86 Yeah, I saw the line-up on Sky. Surprised to see Weber there, indeed. Strange after his post on Instagram. Also, Jonah Lowe back much earlier than expected. But in both cases, great news!
I'd change a lot more, but keep Lowe at 14 to get this backline: 9 Eaton, 10 West, 11 TJ Vaega, 12 Falcon, 13 Buckman, 14 Lowe, 15 McNicol. I really don't like it that they persist in playing Falcon at fullback.
I also got the impression last week, that Evans was expected to play this week.
I guess Selesele can't play at 6, because I think Renton is a better 7 than a 6. Anyway, at least Cridge will play at lock again, as he should be, and Renton is back in the squad. The no. 20 in the reserves is (according to Sky) Lucas Goodin. That will be his debut, won't it?
-
Fuck, TJ and Marshall
-
We are going surprisingly well, three minutes gone and we have yet to concede a point.
-
And even more pleasing my guys have now got off zero after Ihaia West knocks over a penalty from close range.
-
Nice cover tackle by Ihaia ....
Time to bring Weber on ....
-
We did well to hold them out for 10 minutes. Flood gates likely to open now.
-
Damn, I don't know how to post a Gif ....
-
Nepia, I will almost certainly be up in Palmy tomorrow watching a whangai grand daughter playing for St Marys in the Hurricanes Schoolgirls final against a Palmy team at 11.30 so will take in, and give a report from, your outfit against St. Patricks College Silverstream in the boys final if we stick around long enough for that game at 2.30.
-
Well, we do have a specialist 7, playing at 12 with 2 turnovers won so far
-
Looks like zero work has been done practicing catching high kicks since the BoP match.
-
Shit and an even more feeble attempt as Falcon shelves yet another one.

That's why he needs to play at 12, give him a chance to get his confidence back
-
Ouch, that scrum was embarrassing.

Is kick off 2:30pm not 12:30pm? I'm trying to figure out to watch it via a mates Sky Go.
-
Who is that guy in the number 20 jersey that has come on as a replacement? It does not look like the Waratahs guy that is listed in the team posted by '86
-
Lucas Goodin - Clive #8

As an Aussie if he has a decent game he's probably in line for a Crusaders contract.

This http://www.clubrugby.co.nz/wellington/story.php?id=2586 says it is a 2.30pm kick off but it might pay to keep googling to confirm
-
Wow 10-10, who would have thought it.
-
Quick get out the heart pills and the respirators, I'm in danger of a heath emergency as the Magpies score a converted try to level the score three minutes prior to half time
-
Gosh, that looked like a HB player was taken out, at least we can be reassured that at least one of the referees eyes is still working seeing as though he managed to see the Canterbury player played in the air and give them a penalty. Ah well at least it is just a three point deficit at halftime, much better than we could ever have hoped for an hour ago.
-
I thought I was optimistic in my Superbro picks when I had us losing by 30...
-
If you have got your smartphone at the game Stargazer can you give us your views on what you think our prospects look like please. Its much easier to get a feel for things from watching live in person rather than from a television.
-
Aaaaargh another sitter dropped from the kick off to the second half.
-
WTF, I miss the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half and Canterbury gets 10 points.

It was a played PS4 too long in the break
-
And they score a converted try from it. Anyone seen any Indian bookmakers at the ground?
-
How is that a Canterbury feed? It's the Canterbury players job to hold on to the ball.
-
Two new props on with absolutely no difference too, sadly reverse gear it getting a big workout tonight.
-
In case anyone is interested it is Hawkes Bay 10 - 27 Canterbury after fifty seven minutes.

Very interested, I took Canterbury with an 18 point start at the TAB
-
I think you are looking pretty safe, it is only a matter of time before the visitors score again.
-
Ref saves us there
-
No he didn't, the Canterbury blindside clearly entered the ruck well in front of the ball when he took out the HB player.
-
Bizarre decision there.
Allardyce made himself part of the ruck, so that Canterbury player had every right to clean him out.
-
I really need to learn how to post gifs - I have floodgates ones ready to go!
-
@Gunner Interesting point you make Gunner but where is the off side line in situations like that? He appeared to join from the side and in front of the Canterbury halfback who had the ball in his hands.
