    No touch today due to the weather which is shithouse. MvJ is now heading home to cook up a stir-fry using the Chinese cabbage he purchased last night because it was on special. Add the onion and garlic and we are looking at a very smelly cubicle at work tomorrow.

    Possibly  :happy: Actually it tasted great; I must have had the old Chinkie Cabbage 1,000 times whilst out, but have never cooked with it. This is akin to the time MvJ realised there were more types of lettuce out there than just iceberg (only a few years ago). <br />
    <br />
    I still can't stirfry chicken though without it tasting like cardboard. Any tips would be welcomed. That's the first time I've cooked with meat for three weeks (!), and it just had no taste. I don't know why I bothered. The mushrooms, cabbage, onion and even the spuds and other stuff had flavour and texture, but not the chicken. And it was the free-range, hand-reared, nothing but the best chicken and all.

    marinade chicken in a ginger/garlic/dark soy for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Then cook the chicken in the wok first until the pieces are golden brown on all sides. Remove chicken from the wok, add vegetables and then a minute before finishing add back chicken and juices. Should be fab (made for dinner last night)

    Massive night last night for MvJ's birthday. Happy birthday to me. MvJ consumed two hundred glasses of the House Red, a scotch and a pint combined with 17 bowls of wedges. Oops. <br />
    <br />
    This morning MvJ is trying to work out how the night ended. MvJ is also in the process of apologising for some inappropriate text messages he sent, the contents of which he cannot recall. <br />
    <br />
    MvJ is off to touch rugby in 34 minutes.

    Nothing like a shindig on a work night. Well done MvJ.

    <br />
    but yet these text messages are easy to recall if one wants to unearth the embarassment which was not evident the night before. Just go to "sent items" on your mobile. Alternatively, dismiss the fact you ever sent them.  <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /><br />

    Hope you carve up the touch footy field Miller.

    Cheers gentlemen. Touch was cancelled by the council after we had got changed and rocked up to the Domain. They thought we might damage the grass in the rain, which is highly unlikely given it's fucked anyway. To make myself feel better I had a pie. Whoops. <br />
    <br />
    Fingers crossed that rugby is still on on Saturday.

    Touch was cancelled on Thursday and rugby cancelled on Saturday. Poor MvJ.<br />
    <br />
    Kicked an AFL ball around on Sunday with a fat fluffybunny from my apartment building.

    Excuse my French, but Jesus is MvJ at the end of his tether. I left Christchurch in 2001 as it was the worst winter on record in 30 years and the weather was making me depressed.<br />
    <br />
    Well it has now rained for fucking three weeks here in Sydney, every fucking day. I don't know who is responsible, but if I find the fluffybunny she should be worried. <br />
    <br />
    Touch rugby has been cancelled four times, and rugby once. The weather is making everyone really shitty. I am cold and thus eating a lot of pies and feeling fat. It sucks and I'm fucking pissed off. My weight is steady at just over 5kgs lost, but this shit is making losing more difficult. Everyone at work just wants to go for a spot of touch rugby in the domain at lunchtime in the sun, but we can't. <br />
    <br />
    Touch will be off again tomorrow (fucking five fucking times in a fucking row) so I'm going for a run at lunchtime. Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhh!

    if everyone is so keen on playing footy, Miller, why not just adapt your game to suit the conditions? Get back to the good old days of "slushby"...rugby in the mud. Girls get strangely excited by getting their bodies wet, and slithering around in the mud with eachother. Even more so when MvJ is in attendance. Just beware the nervous woody.  😁

    You are preaching to the converted my friend. Unfortunately the local authorities that run Sydney closed the Domain, realising what we would do to the grass <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> <br />
    <br />
    It's a problem here in Sydders actually; all rugby fields are in shithouse condition, and they all get closed at the first sign of rain. I think it would actually do them some good to have a game or two on them in the wet. <br />

    MvJ has been handed a preliminary final this weekend (yay!) so will endeavour to spice up the fitness regime before that. A run should do that, combined with the touch we played at lunchtime yesterday. <br />
    <br />
    Weight still holding steady, diet still good.

    Well done MvJ, his first Grand Final appointment ever this weekend. I feel in the form and fitness of my life too. I really enjoyed Saturday's game, and backed up with a two hour recovery walk over the hills of the eastern suburbs on Sunday. Wasn't half stiff and sore either; it was a fair workout. <br />
    <br />
    I put my form down to two factors, in equal parts:<br />
    <br />
    (1) Fatbusting (thanks Fern!);<br />
    <br />
    (2) Leaving a job that was stressing me to tears. <br />
    <br />
    In other words, healthy body, healthy mind. <br />
    <br />
    If any pictures surface this weekend, they might be posted...
