    I think the key here would be FRESH nick.  Most people in NZ can go out and collect their own Kaimoana, or have a mate who does.  When they hit AUssie, the go to a restaurant, and get frozen ten week old shite...<br />

    nailed it in one there, Bart. Had a mate who worked in the Sydney fish markets and apparently some seafood products would sit in the window for more than a week before some poor soul purchased it. :sealedlips: Just wrong! I'm just very happy and lucky I have access to catching and preparing my own. A lot of people don't even know the difference, because they've never had the fresh stuff.  :nta

    Back on topic, MvJ hit the exercycle again this morning and feels good other than for the twinge in his right pin. This Wednesday night at referee training will be my sixth in a row  <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Not necessarily true Bart - you just have to pick your place <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> its only natural that in a place the size of Sydney the catchment area isn't big enough to support the entire population. But go up or down the coast an hour and you can get fresh stuff.

    Got through yesterday's game with flying colours, physically at least given the stinking hangover and fat-enhancing breakfast of sausages, eggs, hash browns and baked beans. <br />
    <br />
    Weight this morning: 77.1kg. Total fat busted 4.7kg. Yay!<br />
    <br />
    So off for a run tonight, some exercycle sessions and training on Wednesday. The aim being to get down to 76.8kg before Easter. That would be a 5kg fat-busting achievement, and half-way to my total.

    Very lousy week for me with zero pre-Easter fatbusting. However I haven't gained any weight either. <br />
    <br />
    I'm off to NZ tomorrow, will take the running gear and may even throw in a lap or two of Hagley Park. Presumably it will be fucking freezing. <br />
    <br />
    Post-Easter, expect massive fatbusting session as yours truly pushes towards the 5kg mark, and then over it..

    Best F&C in NZ would have to be at Kaiaua Fisheries on the Thames Coast.  Apart from a pub, a school and a garage there is fuck all else in Kaiaiua, although they did have a rugby club 10 years ago.  But as far as Fish and Chips go they are the fucking masters.  Fresh is best.  The snapper crumbles in your mouth as you bite into it. You can buy a beer with your feed as well.  Scallops also highly recommneded.  The shop is so good all the trendsetters from Auckland driving down to Kaiaua in the weekends for a bite and then jumping in their car for the 80 minute drive home.  Locals trend to enjoy their takeaways midweeksas a result of this weekend migration of Urban 4x4 drivers invading their patch.

    Off to rugby training tonight. Exercise has fast become my favourite part of the day, what with the job turning to shit and everything. It's like driving Jamie driving Aurelia home in Love Actually. <br />

    Great work Captain Miller on your substantial weight loss.  👏 You are a beacon of hope for the rest of us...which is quite a disturbing situation. :nta <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    Unfortunately I have put 2kgs back on, directly attributable to stress and unhappiness at the job situation, and general desire not to leave the house. When I did leave it on Saturday, I had my best game with the whistle for some time thank God. <br />
    <br />
    I have been appointed to another good game this week, or at least it looks that way on paper. So that will rule out Friday drinking. <br />
    <br />
    Staggeringly MvJ had nothing to drink on Sunday night, and went straight to sleep. I had a dream that I had been appointed a host at the Casino and had to wear a little red dress and heels, but that is irrelevant. Probably.
