That Akira Ioane is a bit rubbish, can certainly see why he continues to be overlooked for the All Blacks...
Try to Akira after 1m.

Haha.
Bit of a dangerous game for Auckland for this I think. A desperate Naki team with some big names.

Too lazy. His competition would have got it in 28.

Meh, record is 7. That's four times slower, what a slacker
-
The ref's call on ripping the ball for a tackler is strictly correct, but frustrating. If knees hitting groudn is a tackle, enforce that shit for the 'held up' mauls, and the 'not held' standing up and running again.
-
Also, Auckland is going to lose because Hometown is Hometown.
-
Crap. Papali'i missed his very first tackle this season. I was hoping he'd reach 100 before missing one.
-
Why would Ruru go left there. Weird decision. Rayasi is a talent.
-
That's just shit. The Auckland tackler never released the player, but Jackson doesn't care? Weirdly random referee. I don't like watching his games much.
-
Yep Auckland are in trouble here.
This Naki side has come to play.
-
Perofeta has made a big difference, and Tamanivalu is fired up and playing very well.
Taranaki look a different team tonight.
-
@tim I always liked having Tamanivalu on the ABs fringes; a good player to have in case of injury. It's a pity he's leaving after the M10 Cup season.
-
Scoreline is flattering Auckland here. Taranaki are dominating.

Yeah. We seem to have the edge in the outside backs, making good metres, but getting beaten up everywhere else.
Hopefully Naki lack conditioning - Auckland look fit thisyear
-
That is a peach of a kick option. Wow.
-
@nzzp Taranaki playing with a strong wind.
-
That conversion looked atrocious

Plummer just kicked an insane conversion. That shit was excellent.
Really stoked to see the boys get back into this. now need to channel our Mexted and ride the momentum
-
We're getting so many good results from short kicks this season.

All our kicking has been strong. It's been really good to see. I'm looking forward to heading along next Friday to see them play in person. A massive turnaround from the last few years
-
That Akira's not much of an athlete.
-
Nice. Naki has played better than us but we're leading at the half.
-
Henry looks like he's got some firm words for halftime.
-
Suprised to be leading after getting dominated for large parts of it. Perofeta's made a difference for this Taranaki side and Tamanivalu has been hard to stop. Still a lot of work to do.

Replying to myself, but in the replay of the first try he runs away from Naki 14. Massive pace for a big fella.

I reckon Auckland look far more likely. Just territory and position keeping Taranaki in it :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:

With the wind, we're a good shot. Just have to execute well. There appears to be a lot of wind, too
-
Another short kick causing trouble.
Plummer is standing a bit too deep to start this half.
-
I thought it was the other grandstand just was the EQ risk?
-
Dumb from Trainor, should have just left the pick to The winger
-
Liking what I'm seeing from Akira, but I think Florence has been all industry and has the upper hand over Papali'i tonight,
-
Did Florence punch Plummer there? Just a little pop.
Auckland forwards lacking their steel tonight. Tamanivalu and Perofeta have made defending much harder.
-
@tim you hit right on the head,Naki forwards dominating the 2nd half
-
Too easy
-
@steven-harris ....until Rayasi scores the try without even breaking a sweat..

Same as the first half - our outside backs are playing really well; their forwards are playign really well
