LOL, this looks like a SR team stacked with ABs and they're even resting a few players.

@Stargazer I reckon Hansen will be tuned in for this one - Perry, Moli, Squire and Frizell (and Hemopo for Manawatu) all with something to play for - even if it's a place in the injury call-ups queue.

Might even be a couple more playing for a spot in that queue.

Good to see Tim Perry back.

you know what, if he is turning up to an NPC game a fortnight out from the cup to learn anything, i would be astounded. It's not 1985

@mariner4life How else is he going to find out anything about whether Squire especially is worth picking?

Tim Perry is having his second game all year - third if you count the five minutes in which his significant achievement was to break his arm.

Yep - and just possibly one of the locks, as well.

IIRC, Frizell played the whole season at lock for Tasman in 2017.

Why the hell is Jamie Booth kicking so much..just keeping kicking to one of the most dangerous back 3 teams..duh..!
Jackson Hemopo still looking classy in a struggling team.

Great try from Taufua after an even greater pass from Squire.

19 - 3 to Tasman. To think how many opportunities Tasman have missed thus far ... it could have been way worse.

I think Tima Fainga'anuku isn't as good as his younger brother Leicester, but he's been really good in this game.

Tony Johnson very keen on giving Booth some Duane Monkley medal points. He's nuts. KT and KH too polite to object.

TJ's reason for giving Booth 2 points was "he tried so hard". Seriously, if your team loses 3 - 64, your players don't deserve any points. Trying isn't good enough.

@Stargazer it’s funny as you will very well know when the magpies were struggling a few seasons back...
It’s bad enough when your not playing well, but it seems when everything is going against you..even the officiating calls go against you..not a Turbos supporter by any stretch, but I do feel them ...this won’t be the last team Tasman will put plenty on.

@Steven-Harris What's funny? I'm not gloating about any team's demise. It's hard for any team when they're struggling like Southland the last couple of years, Manawatu this year, and the Magpies, BOP and Northland for several years as well. But there are regional rivalries, which make me feel a bit less sorry for some teams than for others.

@Stargazer hey I just wanted to make it clear , I don’t enjoy any of the regional teams getting trampled like this..,I was just lamenting when you are struggling it’s seems even catching breaks from officials goes against you..we should not be surprised by this result given what Tasman have at their disposal..
Coms were not made to be offensive ..

Yeah - and I wish he had been.

It's the same unnecessary foolishness that earned Dane Coles his yellow. Just because you've got hold of a little guy you don't need to absolutely smash him. Stupid footy!

Aside from that - Tasman need some work on passing accuracy. A really clinical display would have been quite a bit worse for Manawatu!

@Chris-B that’s the scary, had they been accurate on the pass, the score could have been anything..I can’t see anybody challenging the Mako..good for the region and they have so much talent coming through even at school level..have you seen the number 7 from Nelson College..?
