I'll go do a 3 km on grass down the local oval in my fivefingers some time this week, and let you know how I do.[/quote]

Finally got around to it!

Clocked the three in 14:46. With more training at that pace, I reckon I could crack 14. But as exercise, it isn't as effective as longer runs for me mentally or physically, and it's hard to change between the two regularly.

Grass was fairly firm with a couple of soft corners, but mown flat like the bloody Council insists on (silly buggers wonder why it dies off in winter). It was a good change from concrete, but running in an oval gets fkn boring... -
Thursday:

•Climbed Mt Te Aroha along with 70 kids from my sons school. A mighty day out!!!

•From school to mountain summit return 12km.

•Mountain itself 952 metres 3.9km (7.8km return)

•Extra 2.5km at 1145pm walking from Pub back home!!!!! -

Oi you stubborn old fart, I still reckon you should change up and do some higher rep stuff. Still as heavy as you can go, but up it to 10-12 reps.

that is all!!
5s are still 100 times better than me staying home and eating takeaways on the couch every night!
