@Stockcar86 A bit of a worry!
In other news, apparently Paul Heyman (ECW) and Eric Bischoff (WCW) are being brought into WWE as executive directors of Raw and Smackdown respectively. (real, not storyline authority figures)

I've been really enjoying The Wrestlers series on Vice (Sky channel).
Wide range of wrestling covered - US, Mexico, Canada, Japan, even Congo.
I sort of knew it happened, but never realised the extent that the wrestlers the levels below the broadcast TV shows really take some big bumps on a weekly basis.

AEW Dark episode 2. Pretty insane main event starts at 42min
Kenny Omega must be the best athlete wrestling currently.

So my 10 year old son has got pretty big in to WWE over the past few months.
As a result, he has been getting an absolute schooling from me on the older WWF times with lots of quality youtube time. Good to show him early Hogan days etc given Hogans on WWE a fair bit at the moment.
Watch some classics last night incl Ultimate Warriors super fast beating of Honky Tonk Man at Summer Slam 88 and also a very young stone cold steve austin vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Watched a classic Andre vs HH too. Geez they stuff they did back then was pretty plain eh. Going to the top ropes was something pretty special!

haha snap!! mine too. They are going on about all these dudes today, i scoff and say "these blokes are nothing"
and then it is classics on youtube. The mental roid-head era of the 80s, and the pinnacle that is the Raw is War era.

Posted in the coronavirus thread but even WWE smackdown went ahead with no crowd. My son is watching It now and it’s all from the performance centre with empty seats.
It was pretty surreal, especially since the international feed kept running during ads, and the first match didn't know, so they stopped wrestling during the ad break...
Apparently Wrestlemania is now running along the same lines.

Wow thats a crackup!

Had read that too. Seems everything this year is just going to be that little bit different

Day 1 of Wrestlemania just finished - not bad considering the lack of crowd. Pretaped and clearly a bit of editing going on, but if there is no crowd, may as well make the most of TV.
Undertaker vs AJ Styles in the Boneyard Match was a classic B-movie fight (in that it was filmed at a cemetery [so presumably on a WWE film set], not just a match at the PC) which I enjoyed the heck out of, but obviously not going to be everyone's taste!
