Dont know what else the tacklers could have done tbh.

Used their arms and avoided the head.

Close in tackles you hit with your shoulder and then the arms come round. Both did that. More I think that Laulala wasn’t low enough.

    Our discipline shit once again.

Whitelock and Ardie have been the standouts.

Yeah the two clear standouts for me aswell. Rettalick and Blackadder have also been good.

@nostrildamus just the amount of play time I believe? So the extra 2 mins over should count

he never tried to wrap his arms he was going to dislodge the ball after using his shoulder.

Dont know why Goldie and Marshall were moaning about the Welsh taking the 3 at HT when their line-out is all over the place.

I have to say so far Ardie has more than justified his position at 8...

If you call that, then 50% of close in tackles would be penalised. The arm comes up after the shoulder hits. Just normal stuff. A bit high, but Moriarty dipped his head.

Bizarre. On half time with a PK right in front you take the points. Especially if the lineout has been a mess.

18-6 to the ABs. Wales not dead and buried. Impressed with their heart and attitude and their kicking. Less so with their set piece.

ABs forwards looking very, very solid. Moody's fitness and Laulala's weak hands the only moans. Locks and backrow super hard working.

TJP and Havili struggling with the conditions which is stopping the AB backline from doing much. Jordie Barrett and Will Jordan looking threatening. Reiko Ioane could look for work a bit more.

Sam Warburton was doing the same on the UK feed and arguing that against 14 men they should have gone from the scrum. No certainty with Wales' scrum woes that they would have got the ball back from that.

It's going OK, but ball not getting that much past 12. It's nice to see us taking any points on offer rather than kicking for touch.

Yeah that's a good summary. I'll add Whitelock's leadership, Ardie's go forward, and Blackadder's sniping are a point of difference. Bladder looking like a test animal born

    Nearly the full hour.

Northern Hemisphere refs like to blow their whistle and have regular conferences with their co-officials. If Wayne Barnes had been in charge that half would have been twice the length.
