Well played Force.
We will need to be a lot better next week but to be fair I don’t think we would have lost if we kept Coles, Franks, Iose, Morgan etc on for longer but I guess you need to protect players for next week.

@Stargazer that’s just poor coaching though. I felt we pulled guys way too early in this game. We were starting to dominate and then we swapped like 5 players. I expect us to be a lot better next week with our top team but who the hell knows with the Canes. I don’t think we have a shit show against the Brumbies in Canberra.

@Canes4life Blaming the coaching is a cop-out. Many of the players were far too casual and made too many errors. That's on them.

Lol a lot of smiling by the Hurricanes players, they don’t seem to be to displeased about losing tonight. Poor attitude imo.

@Stargazer it’s a bit of both, of course the players need to be accountable but it didn’t help that the coach pulled guys early. All of Perenara, Franks, Coles, Iose, Morgan etc were pulled early but I expect that’s more about keeping the powder dry for next week.

Anyway I’m off, the Canes need to be a lot more clinical next week if we are a chance at beating the Brumbies. Right now, it’s not looking good.

I am guessing that won't be Jamie Booth's favourite memories of a game, geez he made some cock ups, one of those nights where evrything he did almost, turned to shit. Anyway Canes never put it away, can understand the subs etc with knockout rugby next week and nothing on the game as such. Still disappointed though.

I haven't watched the game.
I am not remotely surprised the Canes have gone down to the Force in a game that had zero impact on their season. Winning or losing made no difference to their playoff position.
The force had a strong motivation to win.
This weekend we've seen the Crusaders, Brumbies, blues and arguably Chiefs below their best. It shouldn't be a surprise the Canes were as well.
I expect the Highlanders to be firing on all cylinders this afternoon because their game means something.

Only saw the highlights package of this one - Iose showed excellent pace at 8 to score in the corner... next week is the knockout stuff, so need to get our selections right in the 15 & on the bench.
