Fantastic squash final between Coll and Makin.

    Great watch.

Down to the wire but Coll’s superior all round game saw him home

@Bovidae Read an article about how underfunded our swimmers are and how well they have done. How many medals have we won overall in the pool?

They said in one of the NZ post-race interviews that the Australian swimming programme gets $30M in funding. NZ swimming got ~$1M from HPSNZ. Even taking into account the population difference that is a huge disparity.

Swimming needs it’s own comp, far too many medals for swimming. Fowards, backwards, floppping about, with friends…

    It's never going to change.

    Yes, super proud of him.

He won a lot of fans last night, and this match will be the making of him.

The variety of shots he played really expanded his game, and he's served notice to the 6 players above him in the world rankings.

Rob Walker the commentator for track & field is brilliant.

    Great knowledge and enthusiasm.

What a choice. Its not our way to tank. But a match against a wounded Australian team will be especially tough

Have there been any head to heads in the last year?

In amongst all that am surprised Jamaica hadn't beaten them before.

SFs fighting back from 7 goal deficit. Still England lead by 1 at the end of the 2nd quarter 25-24. Hang on to your hats!

I wouldn't blame him if he choose to go back to Australia. Maybe he could make the Olympics as a sevens player.
