Quote collapse

In the previous edition I recall that when there were multiple quotes within quotes, previous ones (apart from the one being responded to) would appear collapsed and you could expand if you clicked on the arrow.

Any chance of getting that back?

Maybe. Or maybe another way of dealing with huge quotes. I’m busy at the moment, but I’ll get to it eventually

In the meantime, perhaps we can relentlessly bully people who over use the quote button?

An FYI in case anyone didn't know: if you are only referring to a specific piece of text within a quote you can preselect/highlight that passage and a blue "Quote" button appears, and you will only quote that text. As above. (On my phone anyway.)

Refresh. Possibly clear your browser cache too

I have to manually re-add that after every update. It has been re-added

I don't know whether this is caused by this most recent change, or not, but I sometimes get confused about what posts people are replying to if they don't quote those posts. Is there a way to make this more visible (without having to hover over the name of the poster they are replying to)? I can't remember having this problem before the format changed a few months ago, but I don't recall what it looked like then either. I have a memory like a sieve for this kind of stuff.
