    Isn't there a rumour that Ben Smith isn't actually a real person but rather a pseudonym for Jamie Wall?

    I think less a rumour and more one conspiracy nut.

    I have just read that all team lists will be out at 4pm NZ time each week.

    What day?

    Wednesday

    Proof that NZRU is trying to fuck with the fern.

    There has been nearly 300 applicants for the new CEO position. The new person will need to be Sydney-based, but I'm not sure why.

    300 applicants. Probably about 2-3 serious ones

    SANZAAR is based in Sydney, that's where the office is

    @Machpants possibly because it provides the best/easiest connections to all parties?

    With the Rebels probably gone, are there any players you would want your squad to pick up? Proctor might be handy and experienced in the midfield. Ekuasi is pretty solid too.

    @Tim wouldn't mind if the Canes picked up Wellington born Jordan Uelese as a back up to Aumua. Would obviously welcome back Matt Proctor aswell. Carter Gordon and Andrew Kellaway are class players aswell, would suit the Canes attacking style. 😃

    @Tim

    ''At the Hurricanes players like Aidan Morgan, Peter Lakai and Riley Higgins want to become established starters."

    All young players want to. But of Morgan starts I will give up on Laidlaw. Lakai might at 8 (or maybe 7) but unlikely at this point. Higgins is a 2nd 5 mainly and there is a small issue here

    @Winger Higgins and Lakai have the ability to push for starting spots. Aiden Morgan however, hell noooo.
