The staggering thing about this Turbos victory was the amount of young talent that stood up .
Isaiah Armstrong Ravula and Jordi Viljoen both 19 running the cutter in the closing 20 minutes looked like they had played together for years

Waqa Nagala and Peña Va’a who both look like they have genuine X factor are only 20
Prop Joseph Gavigan only 21 and with some serious size
Prop Malakai Haimona Hala only 19
Lock Josh Tuala who has serious size for a lock 22
    Centre Keegan Christian Goss 23
    Hooker Raymond Tuputupu 20
Even TK Howden is only 22
    No 8 Julian Goereke 21

And when you consider they lost Fielding High players lock Hunter Morrison and halfback Kade Manuel to Hawkes Bay ,for a small union thats bloody impressive to bring through so many youngsters of this quality on what I suspect is a very low budget

@Steven-Harris You can include one of the Auckland players too (Leo Gordon). Throw in the Love brothers and Manawatū does lose a lot of their homegrown talent.

@Bovidae to be fair Love grew up on the coast and only went to college in Palmy so he was never hugely tied to the area.

@Bovidae For context: Hawke's Bay only got Morrison and Manuel, because Manawatu didn't offer them a contract.

@Stargazer crazy to think they didn't offer Morrison a contract.

@Canes4life I think it had to do with a major sponsor pulling out late and Manawatu being in financial trouble. They then made some strange choices in who they signed and didn't sign.

@Stargazer I wasn't referring to those players specifically. Morrison is from Whanganui so I suppose fair game for any major province.

One of you Palmy boys might be able to confirm, but wasn’t that one of, if not the longest drought’s in NPC rugby being broken?

That is one of many questions I most definitely do not have the answer to

@ACT-Crusader I think SOuthland may have that, 27 or so, they took it from us which was about the same as what Manawatu had when they beat us last week I think (24?)
