Smart Watches

Looking at upgrading my watch.
Have been looking at the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar (tac edition) Garmin Instinct 2 and Garmin Venu 3S
Prices range from $600 - $800 (which is around what I wanna spend)
Have looked at the Garmin S42 golf watch, as the golf part along with general sports functions is where I want it to be.
The S42 doesnt seem to have the full range of functions compared to the other ones being more sport specific.
Current watch is a Suunto, so been looking at some of thiers too, but leaning more toward Garmin, have heard thier GPS is more accurate (cos that matters )
Any other ones people have that are worth looking at Polar, Apple, Samsung, Huawei?

I had previously a Garmin Runner watch of some sort. It was a good sports watch, tracking and that sort of stuff was great. Long battery life too. I am now using a galaxy watch, which is a much better 'stand-alone' device and smarter - but the battery sucks and I really don't use the smartness of it to make it better than Garmin. It is great to see notifications but I just don't use the standalone functions that it gives, it is pretty much a phone on your wrist.
So once the battery life gets so bad on this, it is only just lasting a working day now, I will probably go back to a garmin or similar. I guess it depends what your priorities are. -
Ticwatch pro 3 is a great all rounder, although one of the main reasons I got it is it can have an esim and work independent of your phone and looks like that's not available in NZ.
Runs on wear OS and seems pretty accurate for tracking runs with ghostracer and throwing them into Strava.
