Wilson mentioned on the Breakdown that DMac probably won’t be available. Not sure how accurate that is.

Yes, DMac will be out for this round. He has a muscle strain in his hand. Precautionary.

Trask has a high ankle strain. I would expect Koller comes into the 23 as 1st 5 cover.

Ross is available, Carter likely to be as well.

So presumably Roe, Jacomb, Carter, Tupaea, Rona, Narawa and Stevenson to start with Ratima, Koller and Wrampling on the bench.

Will be interesting to see if the Chiefs start Sititi after his electric 9 mins off the bench the other night.

Might give him another (slightly longer) run off the pine this week and then start him against the Crusaders before the bye week. Plenty of options in the loose forwards so definitely don't need to rush him back.

Sititi was meant to get 15 mins against the Force, but injuries changed the plan.

@Yeetyaah won't be around next season either using his sabbatical at Dave Rennie's Japanese Club. think George hinted at this last week but didn't reveal any names 🙂

@cliff Defs be open to him returning. Always thought he'd do well back when he was playing for Waikato. Deceptively fast for a dude of his size.

Bummer. I can't like this post. The X-ray doesn't look good. I would think it is only for SR as usually up to 12 weeks for recovery.

So Wrampling comes onto the bench and Narawa can be used as a backup. Gibson Popoalii has been the WTG cover. We wouldn't want to lose any more midfield backs with Poihipi also gone for the season.

It appears that Chiefs HQ were deliberately silent about the Taua-Hunters game but I've been told that the Chiefs won by about 20 pts. There would have been quite a few changes to Chiefs Dev team from their first game.

@Bovidae Why would they need to be deliberately silent about these development games. I enjoy that the Chiefs seem to put out alot of info about these games but still not as much as they could be. There is a lot of engagement that all of our super teams are missing out on

@Trig No idea. My info came from the father of one of the players. Very poor from the Chiefs either way. The Hurricanes never reported the result either, but did at least release their team list. Amateurs!!
