What does a number 2 spot mean for the Saders is this an extra lifeline?
Of the losing teams next weekend the highest seed with survive
So Chiefs can't get knocked out and Crusaders can only get knocked out if both Chiefs and Crusaders lose

they would need to give the Canes 7 days to prepare
Based on what? Plenty of teams have had 6 day turnarounds this season.
Chiefs had a 6 day turnaround between the final round and QFs last year.

3rd place is the 2nd game on Saturday
Epic Brumbies academy v Hurricanes academy
real possibility would be a BS scenario.
-
Brumbies will be 9:35 NZT Saturday I’m hearing- which is no great surprise.

The Canes can risk it by sending a B team over but then if the Blues all of a sudden beat the Chiefs (which is unlikely) the Canes will be in the shit. I can see them starting their best side and then pulling guys at halftime which any team would do in that scenario.

One step forward and two steps backwards for the SRP organisers.
What’s the alternative? Have 8 teams in the playoffs? No thanks.
Why are people thinking teams will roll out their B sides? The Canes won’t be able to do that because they can only travel with x amount of players and will have to leave by Thursday. The Brumbies can do it because they are at home I guess.

I hope they don't if they pull players at HT fair enough that is smart protecting your players.
I hope the Canes smoke the Brumbies to stick it up their whining boring fans.
Something like 50 -0 would be great . -

Having a 6 team playoff is an improvement but it isn't hard to have the Brumbies-Hurricanes game on Friday too.
The Reds will be the most disadvantaged team as they play last and then look to have to travel and play on Friday night.

Something like 50 -0 would be great .We beat them pretty well a few weeks back so hopefully the Canes can do the job.
Have to beat Moana today first.

Or Saturday afternoon before the night game in NZ. That way both teams would play their best sides.

It would be farcical and deeply damaging for the tournament's global reputation if one of next weekend's "playoff games" sees two weakened XVs selected to play each other.
The solution, if you are to have a "lucky loser" go through the Semi Final, is to do it one which team loses by least or scores most points in the Playoff round.

Yeah - I'd be pretty happy to have the Reds first up, so don't fuck it up!
I tend to think the Reds and the Brumbies are good match-ups for us - Canes and the Chiefs, not so much.
