Wellington will be playing all their home games at Porirua Park this season. Went there for the Wellington v Taranaki match one cold wet Sunday last year for $10.00 but this year it looks like they have ramped up their GA price to $24.00 per game if their sale price for season tickets ($120.00) is anything to go by. No doubt there will probably be an admin fee lumped on top of that for those purchasing match tickets at the gate on the day.

It's daylight robbery, no way in hell should the Lions be charging that much for entry. $15 max IMO.
It's still the same price point as it was in the early 2000s, they need to get up with the times.

Josh Renton has signed with Northland
-
What an absolute battler of a signing. Would be a Ryan Martin special. Renton would have played under him at Otago Boys
-
@SouthernMann we lost our 2nd and 3rd halfbacks from last season, so I'm comfortable with it, while a few talented kids coming through, they are young and relatively new to prem footy let alone npc
Need someone to pressure Nock
-
@taniwharugby Is it confirmed that LMH is leaving for his french contract before or after NPC?
-
@Trig I am pretty sure he was released to take up his French contract.
@Steven-Harris had you heard the same?

Hearing Northland have signed the younger brother of Brumbies utility forward Tom Hooper , Lachlan Hooper 21 years old 6’5 112 Kgs
Lachlan who played for Australia U20 in 2023 like his brother can play 6 or lock equally well is considered by many observers in Australia as an outstanding prospect and I believe the Blues and the Highlanders will be keeping a close eye on his progressAlso in the wind is Reesjan Pasitoa 23 year old who had limited time at the Western Force because of injury
Pasitoa who has a Niuean father and German mother has represented Australia at both schoolboy level and Under 18 level is considered a super intelligent player that can play 10 or 12 has a 6’1 98 kg frameThe rest of the Taniwha squad will be made up of local players who have stood out in the High Performance space
Corey Te Whata Colley will return to the Taniwha in possibly the best shape of his life
Then a host of Mid Northern players who have stood out at club level and ticked many boxes at HP
Zack Shanks specialist 7 (well deserved )
Matt La Toga no8/6
Jade Stewart 10 ( Form 10 in the Northland Club comp this year )
Impressed in the hit out against Auckland contenders
Rebuen Stewart 12/15 ( been one of the standout backs in Northland Club rugby this year )
Guy Waerehu 13/Wing exceptionally strong carrier of rugby ball there’s something about this player
And Hoani Reid midfielder from Ngati Hine Moerewa United Kawakawa
Reid is highly rated by some in the Blues , big midfielder with a turn of pace to boot seems to have had an attitude change
His father Brandon Reid was some player who should have gone on to play at a higher level but being from Northland got bitten by the vile weedMarley Murphy Kamo halfback orginally from Bop
Judah Andrew’s OBM fullback will be training with the squad
Very tidy footballer who is actually a wing
Also played well against Auckland contenders on a wet night that’s not always great for FullbacksGreat to see Northland taking a punt on locals

He will fit in well with Will Sotdart, Oli Haig, TK Howden and Quinten Holland.
Do the Hooper boys have NZ links?

@SouthernMann Not at all Lachlan I believe turned down a big money contract with an Australian team to cut his teeth in NZ

Did Joe Brial plenty of good down in Canterbury.
There is a kid doing it in Dunedin as well. Zach Nicol who was in the midfield for Aussie Schools last year. Didn't make the Landers U20s, and seems to be injured. A curious move none the less.
