      What can we do people to gee up training and guff in the depths of this bloody cold NZ winter?  Coldest June for 70 years.<br />

        Hmm, I'm going to try to get back into the gym this week, so ... how about how far can you run on the treadmill in 15 minutes? I find much longer too boring.

              I left NZ in 2001 when Chch was in the middle of its coldest winter for 30 years. I remember the clincher was that I tried to go for a run at 3pm one day but couldn't do so safely because the pavement was still covered in ice. <br />
              <br />
              I don't have an answer to it (other than to suggest you move to a more tropical place) but I understand the problem!
