    Silver for Maddi Wesche after throwing a Personal
    best of 19.86.

    Ogunleye threw just 14 cms further to win the Gold.

    @Billy-Tell A break-through performance for her and she will probably be challenging for medals including the Gold one at World Championships and the Oympic Games over the next four years

    Spanish football teams just don't lose finals.

    One sport I never ever watch at the Olympics. Only nz being there would get me to watch.

    28 finals and 25 years in a row now for Spanish teams in not losing football finals to anyone but other Spanish teams.

    Maybe a winning streak in sport only beaten by the New York Yacht Club.

    @Billy-Tell With the naked eye it looked like her final throw was over 20 metres.

    Obviously the officials saw a mark I couldn't see.

    Great battle in the Heptathlon too.

    Nafi Thiam of Belgium won her third Gold medal in a row.

    Katarina Johnson-Thompson of Great Britain , twice the world champion in the event, fell just 36
    points behind her rival.

    I think both Thiam and KJT ran personal best in the 800 metres. Talk about leaving it all out there after seven events over two days.

    @MiketheSnow

    Nafi Thiams's PB in the 800m before tonight was 2.11.79.

    Tonight she ran 2.10.62 on a soaked track.
