Cool running website
-
I'm well into my running at the moment but as I prefer cross country type running versus road running I've had trouble finding out how far I was going etc...

then I found www.mapmyrun.com - uses google earth tech and you basically search for the area you run in and then can lay down waypoints along your route... it adds up distance and if you register (free - just an email addy) you can save your maps. You can plug in gender, age, weight etc and the time taken and get your speed and cals burnt!

very cool & free! thought it might be of interest to some of the lads -
I thought this thread was gonna be about bobsledding!

Nice. There is a similar one for biking people I think.

I've gotta get hold of my mate's GPS and use that to overlay some maps online.... -
Excellent, I struggle further than I thought.

I've found it to be a good site for finding out how far I actually go as well as planning different sorts of runs (longer - road versus off-road etc).
