Did you, as a gentleman, insist that you pay or at least share?
[/quote]

No. As a gentleman, I told her it was an excellent idea and handed her the bill. -
No. She stopped drinking after she threw up, so I was pushing shit uphill from that moment on...

Hey MvJ,

Just a quick point on weighing yourself etc... if you're upping your exercise (esp weights etc) you'll probably put on weight before you loose it. Muscle weighs more than fat so you go up in weight, then as the body gets used to doing more work it'll start to drop (thats the fat going). Once you've added or toned existing muscle it'll keep burning off fat even when you're not exercising... I think thats the argument for doing light weights in addition to cardio even if you don't want to bulk up...

Once 5-10 kegs have dropped off I'd advise not worrying about weight and focus on how your body is looking and feeling - nothing worse than having a primo week of exercise only to find out you weigh 1-2 kegs more than you did at the start of the week!!

maybe you should suggest a joint areobics session with some of these lady friends of yours!! -
Cheers, I'm resigned to the fact that I'm actually putting on weight right now. At the moment I find it quite amusing and ironic; hopefully it will stop soon though! It's been a fairly dramatic 10 days or so, what with the complete diet change and some pretty hard-core exercise sessions. So if I can just keep plugging away there will be some results soon I hope.

For the most part I'm enjoying it; it's definitely easier with the other Fatbusters also publishing their diaries online and stuff. I might even try Mrs NTA's recipe <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Welcome aboard Paekakboyz and thanks for your contribution. -
Hey Miller, found another benefit to laying off the alcohol - I'm saving a small fortune <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

See? Now those wonderful pounds sterling actually mean something <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Thank you for mentioning alcohol again Kirwan, just the reminder I didn't need <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Cheers MvJ.

I've had a fair old wrestle with the weight also - esp post school when sport seems to get overtaken by booze and other distractions!!

I've gotten down from 107kg (and a frontrow position) to 96.5 kg and a return to the outside backs (thank god!)

I had never enjoyed running (like many TSF'ers) and only found out a year or two ago that I had flat feet (which explained sore knees and lower back)... got some decent running shoes and concentrated on running on turf (stay away from road running if you're carrying a bit of weight - grass is far easier on the knees etc) and low and behold no pain and I actually started to enjoy it!! (Â :idiot2: sick isn't it!!?)

Given that I'm a similar body shape to Piri Weepu (ie short 175cm and broad) I've had to work hard to keep the weight down (not get too bulky via weights etc) and avoid that damn front row! -
wouldn't mind his paycheck but no...

I've been aided in my devotion to fitness by being deadset on escaping the frontrow this season!! -
Days 13 and 14:

Have been spent doing absolutely nothing. I may do a push-up shortly.

However the exercycle will be mounted by MvJ tomorrow morning.

On the weight front, 82.0kg, meaning I actually lost a few hundred grams this week. Oh the joy! -
Day 15 (I think) and MvJ has just gone for a brutal run this evening in soaring temperatures. The hill down to Rushcutters (or rather up from it) is a killer. This is not made easier by the fact that my local bottleshop sits atop it, but MvJ kept on running.

I felt like death the whole way around, and stopped looking at the watch after 8 minutes figuring that it would be an achievement just to finish. Then I get to the end and bugger MvJ if I haven't run a pb-- 20.26, knocked off a massive 31 seconds.

Bring on tomorrow. MvJ is in rare form... -
Could you believe 19.09? MvJ certainly couldn't. Am absolutely fucked, but even managed to take the stairs up to my apartment afterwards.

After the push-up session a couple of nights ago I could barely lift my hands above my head to shampoo the melon this morning <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

So that's a good day; 30 minutes on the exercycle, power walk to work, walk at lunchtime to get lunch off my chest, power walk home and a gutbusting run. The run time is more pleasing still because I didn't do all the other stuff I did today when I ran yesterday's time.

Tomorrow I'm off to referees' fitness which will consist of about 40 thin, private school rah-rah foppie twats sprinting three-quarter pace around an Aussie Rules field, followed by a fat fluffybunny letting out a tourettes-style stream of swear words.

(I am that fat fluffybunny.) -

Good man. Go get yourself a lap dance as a reward. You live in the right part of town let's face it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
