Best part about them getting their own full sized bed is you can do a straight swap. We bought the kids quality mattresses when they got single beds, and I've never regretted it.
[/quote]

Yeah its ok with my eldest. He has a huge bed. But my youngest still has a kids bed. We're moving to Aus in January so we havent upgraded for him yet. Still, it would be nice to sleep in my own bed for just one night without being invaded. -
Weekend and cheat meal.

Went Macdonalds this time which I think was a big mistake. Was still tasting that shit when I went to bed. What the fark do they put in those burgers.

We were staying at a hotel this weekend and what amazes me is how farking difficult it is to find a place that sells proper clean food. Obviously thats the market but a smallish chicken salad isnt the same as chicken breast with sweet potatoes.

Hotel had a swimming pool so plenty of that with the boys. There was also a weights room and my 7 year old was super keen to start lifting. Hopefully thats a good sign for things to come and also shows how important it is to be a good role model. Would be interesting to know what the recommended age is for starting weights. I'd imagine it must be over 12 or something like that. -
Monday - Legs

PT today and we seriously ramped up the squats. I've always been a bit iffy about training legs due to an old knee injury so progress has been slow but steady. Went up a level today and am stoked by that.

Just to balance things up we also chucked in some shoulders 5 x 25.

It was a good session. Was really buggered this morning and have alot on my plate and considered cancelling the session but I'm glad I didnt. If anything this whole PT thing has allowed me to put aside all that other shit for a moment each day and thats something I'm appreciating the value of more and more. -
Tueday:

Shoulders and calves.

Was with the Pain Train again and she seriously farked me up.

Shoulders blasted beyond belief (supersets, drops ets, heavy, light 6 reps, 50 reps etc etc.)and then the calves got the same treatment. This was probably one of the most intense workouts I’ve ever done. Brilliant but absolutely ball busting. -
Wednesdag: Crossfit

Was aiming to do the crossfit program I did in the first week but Ms Psycho Tornado clocked me and ordered me to do something else. This is all off the clock, i.e. not paying, but she’s so determined to destroy me. That is both very good and very bad for me.

Anyway did something called a sumo crossfit today:

20 x sumos (basically vertical lifts but with legs wide apart and close grip)
20 x box jumps
20x dips
20x pushups

X 5

Have a pretty badly blocked nose so was light headed through much of this but got through it ok. Was sweating like Mike Tyson in a sauna when I was done.

Crossfit really is the ultimate in training. If I was planning to play rugby again I'd definately have this in my offseason routine. Brutal but amazing stuff. -
Yeah, she's right, you aren't supposed to repeat the workouts that often (Constantly Varied Functional Movement Performed at High Intensity).

You like how the previous exercise screws up the body part you are working next? <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -

He he, yeah those pushups were murder at the end. 5 rounds is a real psycological hurdle. With 3 you can at least see light at the end of the tunnel but 5 seems to go on forever.

Its great stuff. Fark the treadmill, crossfit all the way! -
Seven? Ouch.

Can you send a link to that main site? -
Looked it up myself. Theres some insane shæt there. I think I'd like a piece of that!

BTW what are burpee pullups?

P.S. How ridiculously hot are the crossfit chicks. Mein gott. -
Instead of just jumping in the air during the burpee, you jump and do a pullup.

There is a video in one of my posts for Funk Roberts - he does this mad set of exercises that crossfit nuts should find fairly easy I suppose. I'm just terrified enough to try it instead of weights one night. -

Thursday: chest and biceps

Due to sick kid and open house i couldnt train until dinner time at one og those uber commercial gyms. Was farking packed with young punks and roiders but managed to get through most of the workout without much delay. Hate training during peak hour. This bicep workout is Awesome. -
Friday: back and triceps

Back to base and a pretty damn good workout. Loving the deadlifts.

-
Cheaty treat day.......

Lamb curry, nachos. coconut icecream, choc chip cookies, skittles.

Stuffed but was hungry as hell again a couple of hours later. This aint easy.
