Re-watched Hunt for the Wilderpeople on Christmas Day, such a cool movie!
as for Princess Bride (one of the greatest films of all time) and BTTF

Too bold to name it the best ever but definitely the best of its kind if that makes sense.

Amazing film, but I am admittedly biased, Iβve always been a big Tonya Harding fan. One of best sports films ever made. Not sure how wide a release, but itβs out now.

@salacious-crumb Damn, how hot was the actress they got play Nancy Kerrigan if Margot Robbie is playing Harding? Gal Gadot?

Jungle - supposedly based on a true story of an Israeli backpacker Yossi Ghinsburg who goes missing in the Amazon after a trek for lost gold goes awry.
Harry Potter plays the main role of Yossi, and despite most other roles I have seen him in outside of Harry Potter, Radcliffe hasnt really sold it to me, but felt he did a good job in this, and also lost a shit load of weight for the role as well.
3 dumb cnuts out of 5 dumb decisions

This clearly belongs in the Israel and Palestine thread..

The Founder. Pretty sad story really and Holdo is even more annoying in this. 7 hamburgers out of 10 cheeseburgers.
Gold. Based upon the true story of the Bre-x mining scandal. Pretty neat tale with McConaughey doing a damned good Harrelson. 7.5 saltings out of 10 ounces.

Anyone seen the new Jumanji movie? My son wants to see it based on the trailor, but I thought it looked pretty dumb and won't do the original justice.
-
A Monster Calls
Thought this was fucking excellent. Gets very heavy at the end, the mrs will need tissues and it's likely to get a bit dusty. Really well done though, loved the use of the watercolour images and the idea of the monster - worth a watch.

Considering the original sux arse I won't be bothering.
The mrs saw the trailer for this before the last Jedi and had the gall to mention it looked ok. For her to even give it any kind of credit instead of whipping herself into a frenzy for Star Wars was immensely disappointing.

Been watching the Jurrasic Park movies with the boy now he's (kind of) old enough. He's loving them. Been years since I saw them, but was obsessed when I was a boy.
Jurrasic Park
This is still an awesome movie. Genuine suspense, has you on the edge of your seat and some of the one-liners are superb. Completely forgot Samual L Jackson was in it! The CGI is not totally crap which shows how good it was for its time, and the storyline/acting is great. 4.5 mad scientists out of 5 blood sucking lawyers.
Jurrasic Park: The Lost World
This is.... overall pretty crap. More comical than thrilling. The boy pissed himself when the dude got trampled by the t-rex and got stuck to his foot. Pretty shit storyline, overall just pretty cheesy and really didn't do the first one justice. 2 angry t-rex's out of 5 squashed soldiers.
Will watch the third tomorrow, and already know the fourth (Jurrasic World) is fucking bad ass, have a feeling he boy will like that one the best.

Hah, I loved the original as a kid though it's been yonks since I've seen it.

Aside from 'Good Morning Vietnam' I found Robin Williams fucken painful overall.

Saw it today, it's a switch off your brain fun movie, but I always thought the original was pretty shit. Even Jack Black is less annoying than usual, and the redhead chick is hot.

She looks better when she isn't bald and painted blue like in Guardians of the Galaxy. She's also one of @MN5 s people .

The Greatest Showman
If you hate musicals full stop, don't bother.
Admittedly, it took me a few scenes to get into it. Hugh Jackman is charismatic as fuck, as usual, and the wife was gushing with praise (and probably gushing in other regions) afterwards.
If your significant other finds Hugh Jackman hot, they will find it even hotter when he's apologising in tears to his wife in the film, Michelle Williams (she is also hot). Anyway, Jackman brings all his acting chops to this and does bloody well.
Lots of hot people in this film, and even a few freaks for @MN5 to spooge over.
The music is fucking superb. The two guys who wrote most of the drab shit for La La Land did the songs for this, and everything was very good.
The redheaded opera singer is quite doofable too, seen most recently by me in MI:5 - The Chinese Audiences as the British double agent.
4.5 midgets out of 5 bearded ladies.
Which is like 9 midgets I suppose. Think about it.
