Homecoming on Amazon Prime
Julia Roberts, drugs that erase memories and veterans
Just too slow. Could've been a couple of episodes fewer.

Just finished the full series of Longmire.
All 63 episodes and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. A great modern take on the western with a good cast. Aussie Robert Taylor in the lead as Walt Longmire, Starbuck Katie Sackhoff as Vic Moretti and Lou Diamond Phillips as Henry (Hank) Standing Bear as well as a really strong supporting cast.
For the most part, thought this was very well written and had a deep underlying story line that lasted the full 6 season and admirably concluded.
Some amazing scenery and one of the best depictions of "res" life, that being First Nations People (Indian) reservations and the struggles and nuances of life in the res.
The story is set in Wyoming, but the series was filmed in New Mexico which gave a gritty realistic feel to the story.
I really enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone with 60 plus hours to kill.

Just finished an interesting little series on Netflix, ‘Losers’.
Each episode focuses on some sportsman/woman or team that basically either had a meltdown or fucked their career up. Only 7 or 8 episodes and had to say none were events or moments I’d previously heard of.
Fun light watch, often in some cases there was a silver lining or moment of retribution for the affected person.
Definitely recommend it. -
Episode 1 of Chernobyl was good, liked how it went straight into the incident.
They were completely clueless weren’t they, utterly had no idea how serious it was.
All those firemen that rushed in to fight the fire...Nice distraction from the final couple weeks of GOT

There were pics of workers at Fukushima with their feet, in slippers/shoes, in the water - their bosses didn't have the excuse of ignorance. I'm not sure if they were very brave and didn't have any protective gear (why?), or they were stupid and didn't know?

All those firemen that rushed in to fight the fire...I'd have preferred they started with the test that they were trying to complete to let people know why what happened happened. You could then have someone hit the emergency shut down button and cut to the scene of the apartments being rocked by the explosion.
It gives the impression this is a real concern with nuclear power and that's as far from the truth as it's possible to get. Other reactor designs don't have dangerously large positive void coefficients which Chernobyl's RBMK design did making it very unstable at low power levels - the very test they were conducting.

Very solid start to Mr. Black

Deutschland 86. The lives of others with dry humour. Not to mention Lavinia Wilson.

The Bay - ITV series in the Broadchurch vein, with multiple storylines going on all seemingly linked to the main storyline of the missing twins.
Not a bad watch, only 6 eps so didnt drag on too long.
-
@taniwharugby I've been hesitant about trying this cos I loved Broadchurch so much. But maybe I'll give it a go.
I'm also happy that a new season of the Bachelorette has started. This franchise is American trash tv at its best.

finale of Big Bang Theory...going out on a high, reckon they still had a couple more seasons in them as I they still got laughs out of me every episode.
Up there with Friends as a fave sit-com for me.
