Covid-19 and keeping fit

Good shit @JK - volume for days!!
Did another work out with my bro today. 6 supersets of awesome pain. I swear I might even like cardio by the end of this sentence!

I did 20mins on the rower yesterday and thats bad enough!
It's about 40 minutes or so. I tend to roll around 1:57 splits, although when I'm doing a shorter row that can get down lower. It's great exercise, and there is no hiding on a rowing machine. I like that it's weather independent, I can watch youtube sport while rowing, and it's reistance training.
I've done a couple of half marathons on the rower. They take an hour and a half or so, but feel good afterwards. Like riding, there's a fair bit of conditioning your ability to sit on a hard surface for an extended period
Edit: I try to get 100-120km a month, that's plenty of cardio. Big months are higher - and this month probably higher again if I'm at home all the time.

@nzzp careful bro - too much rowing talk and you might summon a wild @BartMan!!
Seriously though that is some primo monthly mileage - I may have let out a (Manly!) eek when thinking about 10km in the 1.50s zone!! Like you said, no where to hide
It was pretty much my only exercise,if you don't count walking from coffee machine to coffee shop and computers I work a sedentary job, so if I don't get some decent exercise out of work I'm stuffed. I do need to get into weights at some stage, but I've never liked weights much.
That said, I now ride an ebike to work, so was getting more exercise than before (at the cost of having to be organised)

Impressive mate. I used to enjoy the erg, but only up to 2km - after that my ass used to ache!

I dont have an ergo, mine is one of these magnetic ones...does the trick for what I use it for, nowhere as smooth as ERGO or Concept ones
-
@taniwharugby yeah, if you contemplate doing any serious km on it, a Concept2 is the shot. They're great to row on.
Interestingly, they really seem to hold resale value as well. We bought ours new 17 years ago, and have done the thick end of 10 million metres on it.
Also, it's brutal. I tell the family I'm off to grovel.

So what is actually on Pornhub premium that makes it worth paying (normally)?

So I'm feeling happy with myself right now.
My few months in Bali consisted of runs in the 5-8km range, all around the 5m/km pace, given the heat and humidity there.
Coming back into lockdown, I set myself a goal of running 10kms in under 45mins, 4:30/km ave.
Did a longer 15km run last week, then an 8km on my own, and a bunch of shorter stuff with the kids.
First 10km hitout 2 days ago, managed 4:45/km for a time of 47:32.
Rest day yesterday, then another crack today.
Came home in 44:48, ave 4:29/km . Absolutely stoked.
Was travelling really well for the first 5kms and had some time in the bank, then realised I'd gone down a decent hill just before the turnaround. Absolutely grovelled my way back up, and thought I was toast for the day, lungs and legs. But hung in, and got a 2nd wind, and scraped home!
So now, with my lockdown goal achieved, the question is do I put my feet up for the next 25 days and get fat again, or set a new target???
I think I'll wait until tomorrow to decide...
