The Mandalorian gives me hope that, now that they are free of the shackles of the original trilogy, they might be able to make some good films. Best let John Favreau and whoever else was responsible for making Marvel the movie titan they have become have free reign to do what they want

The guy in charge of the MCU has been given a Star Wars movie time do. Apparently he’s a super fan.
The best thing they could do is put Dave Filone in charge in that MCU style overseer role. The best of the recent Star Wars stuff has him involved.
Big on story and character and got mentored by Lucas.

....and probably as big a fan as the fans. Has encyclopaedic knowledge as uses it well.
They should have had him at least draft out the third trilogy for use and tweaking by the producers.

And was part of the Mandalorian. Sounds like a no brainer

Considering the huge success of the Marvel franchise and Filone's longstanding work on SW projects you have to wonder why they weren't involved in the latest trilogy....

So I finally had my rewatch of The Rise of Skywalker, took me three sittings to do it.
I have the exact same problems as last time, way, way too cheesy, and where the fudge did all those ships on both sides come from. Some good action scenes at times, but just surrounded by cheese and some dumb plotting.
Still sits above the prequels, but still easily the worst of all the Disney bunch by some margin.
Pffft, you saying this is hardly an endorsement though. Your hatred of the prequels is only matched by your love of the Bay

Marshall Givens in Mando!
Awesome.
So if Tem isn’t playing Boba Fett is he possibly playing a clone? Could make sense that there are still some clones hanging around in this timeframe.
It’s possible but he might need a bit of make up to look older given they age twice as fast.

10 SW years between the last sighting of Captain Rex (Rebels) and Mando. Twenty years since Tem was cloned (real time)
Rex was already grey. However there would have been newer clones than him.

So an original clone during Mando time would be about 45 ( 90 ) then ?
Correct me if I'm wrong but purely from the movies canon.....the original clones were "born" probably around TPM.....13 years til ROTS.....20 years til ANH......5 or so years til ROTJ......6 or so years til Mando ?
The period between Han being frozen and then rescued is a bit of a grey area much like the amount of time Luke actually spent on Dagobah which confuses things a bit but Tem could theoretically play a 90 year old Clone with a bit of make up, or a scarred Boba Fett. Perhaps it's only his voice they're using ?

There’s a well accepted timeframe based on BBY (before battle of Yavin).
Rex was aged as around a 50 odd year old near the end of Rebels. So roughly a 70 year old by Mando if the double rate theory is correct. There may have been clones from later batches though -

There may have been clones from later batches thoughI thought the Emperor did away with them cos he was worried the batches would get contaminated and the original template was deteriorating ?
It conveniently explains how the troopers went from killing Jedi to losing to teddy bears over a relatively short period of time.

@MN5 there is a lot of case law out there which includes mental age and/or capability with respect to consent. She'd be treading on thin legal ice!

I'm watching Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. A behind the scenes look at the TV series. It is brilliant, a SW fan's dream. In episode two Dave Filoni explains the arc of Anakin and Luke in the first 6 SW films in a riveting 5 minutes, mesmerizing the entire roundtable. It was intense and emotional
