Yeah, Seymour at times has been the only the opposition. That's not healthy.
I kinda like Seymour, but the people behind me make me really nervous. They seem to be ideological muppets.
That is a great read!
He's an Engineer, and quite an interesting bloke. Built his own car from scratch (dirty mechanical engineers), and mentally tough to grind out years in Wellington with no mates around. Seems to do well in Epsom/Newmarket with lots of shoe leather
He is very active in our electorate, came to our school fair and allowed himself to be pelted with water balloons fully clothed, so a good sport

@dogmeat one of the largest brokerage firms, told thier staff (worldwide form what I understand) a few weeks ago that everyone earning over $100k will be taking a $50k paycut, and those under $100k, $20k cut...which is a daft way of doing it, but the kicker is, these cuts are being done so they can continue to pay shareholders...way to shit all over your staff.
$50k off the execs earning millions isnt gonna affect them...
That's idiotic. Earn 105k and you're down to 55k, earn 95k and you're down to 75k. Surely that 100k threshold can't be correct?

The last active case in NZ has now recovered, no additional cases.
Looking like no spike from the protests last week, so we safe to assume this is no longer in our communities?
Even saw an interview with that Siouxie Wiles (virologist, or immunologist?? - think she is one fo those who consults to the Govt?) who was always pushing for longer lockdown saying we can go to L1 as long as we keep our borders tightly controlled and have a good plan if we get any more cases.

So good, so so good
It really is! My little bit of sadness at not being able to work from home is easily overcome by the joy that L1 brings to the country.

Cindy's takin' us out of level 2 tomorrow,
Two tomorrow, two tomorrow
Cindy's takin' us out of level 2 tomorrow
And we can play all day
We're leavin' level two, two, two
How about you, you, you?
You can come too, too, too
We're leavin' level two, two, two. -
Does L1 mean crowds allowed for Super Rugby Aorearoa?
-
@Billy-Tell yes

Guess I will shave most of the beard off now, Full castro worked a treat.
You're in Wellington - just stay full hipster

they were just saying on the news every single arrival to NZ will be tested now.

Well, I've been critical of the slow move to L1 and of the Gov stealing days here and there, so I guess I need to give credit where it's due - they could easily have announced L1 from Thursday, Friday, whenever, and gotten away with it, but to break protocol and go with the same day as the announcement was great. Good on them.
Happy days, next step is that pesky trans Ta$man border.

Hopefully, but might be the realm first (Tokelau, Cook Islands, Niue) and Fiji, Samoa, Tonga next since they're all Covid-free.
Anyway, congratulations everyone for making it through and earning level 1 early.

Keep getting the odd case on this left side of the ditch.
I blame Victorians.
