@Siam read some of the comments, info must be there somewhere as someone commented
Me: "Well, it's way easier with an unloaded truck, let's see them do that with a full load."
Description: "The tractor trailer is fully loaded to 40 tonnes"
Well, shit, colour me impressed
Seriously? Then that's fucking impressive.

@gt12 it's there in the description
Watch a test and explanation of the system:
...On a test track in the new Volvo FH, together with test drivers you get to experience how the Collision Warning with Emergency Brake system can avoid a rear end collision, even if its tight!
The tractor trailer is fully loaded to 40 tons GCW.Read more: http://www.volvotrucks.com/trucks/glo...

Do they say what the load weight in the trailer is though? That's the death variable

Ha, my point was how much technology would've improved since then.

Have to go to about 1.20 before anything good happens...even then not enough

@taniwharugby sounds awesome bro.

@nzzp impressive but fuck me they could programme it to slow down a bit earlier. I still would have shit myself seeing that truck not stopping until the last minute.
they've got this physical device for it, called a pedal if you don't want to wait for the emergency system to kick in.
But yeah, it'd give you the shits seeing that bearing down on you! -

@Kirwan Probably as real as John Wick
Donโt care, itโs still awesome.

Fuuuck!!

@taniwharugby When I see stuff like that I always wonder why the guys watching it donโt do something. Fire a gun, blow the horn, anything to give the prey a chance.
Edit: They watched that for five hours?!
-
@Catogrande grab a tissue then city boy๐. Odds are that giraffe died a slow death 12 to 24 hours later if that makes you feel better.
Can we please have one domain of life where feelings can't change facts? ๐

Prolly the same guys then have to shed a tear when they come across a pride of lions that died of starvation.

@Siam Iโd assumed the odd animal or two might die prematurely in the wild ๐ฌ just find it odd not to do something in that case, just sit back and watch for five hours. Why not then follow it until it drops down dread too. Would get more notice on insta or wherever
