I followed her in insta and only saw her anti mask kind of stuff, thought it was a bit shit but wasn't calling for her to be cancelled or anything...some of the other stuff looks pretty bad
disappointing a cool character will die off, cant imagine it being recast or anything

Considering that there is no more Mando until 2022 and that the story will take a new direction it doesn’t surprise me that she isn’t locked into any contract. Not needed for Book of Boba Fett.

@Crucial but there was the "Rangers of the New Republic" which she'd been rumored to play a role in, maybe she never was
it was the " ...and there are no plans for her to be in the future" when there are mando season planned
Yeah. I just think that they are opportunists here. They can cancel while claiming that isn’t the reason as no one knows if her character was ever going to be in those series
-
The trouble with reading these cancel culture posts is context is lost. Another reason why Twitter is a cesspool of bullies and the professionally offended.
Her post was not anti-semitic at all. She was drawing (perhaps a long) bow between dehumanizing people that think/are different to you and how that can lead to the horrors of 1930s Germany.
People shouldn't be losing their jobs for having a conversation.
Her so called transphobia was putting "Beep, Bop, Boo" as her pronouns on Twitter. Big deal.
I wouldn't be surprised to see her again in the Mandalorian or other Star Wars shows. Favreau is a fan and reportedly dispises the new McCarthyism online.

rightly or wrongly its pretty naïve to even come close to comparing something to Nazi Germany and not expect someone to get annoyed, especially when your employer is famously controlling of their actors and what they can/cant/do/say
If she thinks the point she was making was worth it then all power to her, but I don't think anyone can claim to be surprised

She, like a lot of actors, ain't that smart.
Still discussing the causes of Nazi Germany and equating to modern US politics is practically a sport these days - particularly on the left with Trump. It's bizarre to call it anti-semitic.
-
@Kirwan I think if you edit your first line to "people aren't smart" you have your answer, using the holocaust in a example will be seen as anti sematic, that's why generally people steer clear of it
in saying that saying comparing being a jew to a political choice is pretty flawed, one is very much a choice and can change
-

You can convert to Judaism as well.
She wasn't doing that anyway, she was pointing out that one of the methods the Nazis used to turn neighbour on neighbour was to dehumanize them first. She was making the point that this is what she thinks is happening now in the US, and was saying this is the path it leads too.
A common argument, usually made by the left in modern politics.
-
@Kirwan yes, you're not wrong, but these are pretty nuanced arguments and might be expecting too much for the a lot of people to understand especially on a platform that literally limits the number characters
my understanding of Nazi Germany was very much based around blood and family tree and genetic attributes deemed to be associated with Jewish people rather than the religion itself
