The usual woo merchants complain that there's "no cure for (all 100+ typs of) cancer". Then when a vaccine comes along that can help prevent some of them...
Winger and others have claimed Gardisal doesn't prevent cancer, which is true. It prevents hpv which can lead to various cancers .
It's not helped by these people

@jegga hat's the central tenet of woo: coincidence, correlation, and causality all start with "c", therefore they're the same thing.
Fucking tragic, but millions of doses versus one story. That's not how evidence works. Had that fight with a silly, superior-sounding bitch on twitter months ago. She was too distressed to provide facts

@jegga science is grossly inconvenient for these sorts of things. Even a bit of basic toxicology might have helped, or a quick look at the heart itself.
I think the coroner said it was likely her heart, its rare for someone so young to die in their sleep and apparently that's what it usually is.
She's unfortunately become famous since her death amongst the pro disease loons including our resident one. -
This nutter got fined $30000 in court costs for her cancer scam, when she was younger she claimed to have had extensive heart surgery and then posted photos of herself in a bikini. She laid low for a while after a few people asked where her scars were, open heart surgery tends to leave a mark after all.

You'd think she'd have learned after twice being outed as a fraud but she's at it again
If you can make money off the idiocy of others, good luck to you.

@antipodean the part about shitting out a tapeworm was tmi I thought.

Yes, some people don't have the necessary filter when it comes to sharing.

There was a guy on tv showing what he'd been through with cancer that developed from hpv. He lost part of his upper jaw, his palate and the inside of his nose, needless to say he's keen to see people vaccinated against hpv.
The school headmaster had explained his " reasoning". -
@antipodean I'd say they've put themselves in the crosshairs and hopefully that happens . Its hard to combat the sheer volume of nonsense the pro disease crowd put out . Who to believe these nutters?

Or the CDC ?

Not sure if this is really the correct thread for this subject but if not, it's close to it.
There is a case going on in the UK about a woman that has been told she is going to lose care of her kids. She has disappeared and the police were looking for her. They appear to have been very heavy handed, repeatedly searching the homes of her friends and family as well as detaining two of her family members. There has been something of a backlash and a crowd funding initiative so she can afford a decent legal defense. All this on Facebook.
Reading through all that the one ting that I couldn't see was what had brought on the losing of the care for her kids.
Anyway a simple trawl through the BBC news site gets you this:-
I wonder why the sisterhood of wimmin on the Facebook appeal didn't mention all that?
Anyway they've found her.
