Just quietly between us fellas, pretty chuffed about the above result. Some of you may have known I have been BB in pretty serious way for the last 7 months, and that is the result. It's been a hellofa ride for me and the Mrs (The other half the the current NZ Couple champion pair, and 2nd place in the 35+ figure category).

Thank you for indulging me in my moment of weakness and bragaddo!

  • Well done to you and the Mrs Bart. Nothing wrong with being proud about hard work paying off. xzxdrinks

  • Well done to you both, simply awesome effort. You should rightly both be very proud.
One question - how long till you're not orange anymore? Wicked spray tan!!

  • Not enough speedwork mate.
The lengths some bald guys will go to to replace their hair is astonishing! xzxcool
Top effort btw(thank fark there weren't any closeups!). xzxshok

  • Legendary effort Bart. I guess it's all too easy for you mate, what's next an All Black spot? You can throw into lineouts straight can't you?

  • Does this mean you'll be entering Mr Austrlasia or Mr World???

  • think you still need to be 'selected' Hooroo, but am now qualified to enter if named in NZ teams etc to play with the big boys on the world stage, but I don't think I would at this stage to be honest, shoulders and biceps need plenty of work!

What tans, those are my natural colours...

  • When are they Bartman?? If a few months away, with the type of dedication you put in, I'm sure you could easlily be competitive!!!

Without sounding with a queer rooster, you look amazing!

  • Hooroo - standing with a queer rooster puts you in a bad light anyway xzxrofl

where has your neck gone bart?

bending a few ales now will get those biceps up - ask willie!

    super stuff mannering

  • Super stuff Bart. I was already big noting your prowess on Friday to a body builder who was going to watch your show the next day.

  • redbeard - you groupy.

now all bart needs is a couple of sponsors - although you cant get much on those dick togs

  • Great work again

Athletic vs Physique? Is that just a weight division?

  • Whats the bodyfat % at the moment Bart ?

  • buggered if I know on that % MN5 - on our scales at home which are pretty flash reads between 3 and 6 over that last week.

Yeah Duluth, pretty much weight divisions. Athletic you take your height in CMs and take of 98, and that is the max weight you are allowed. The Physique bugggers are open weight I think - might have a height thing, but weight is much more than the athletics.

SO my max weight is 80.5. Weighed in at 79.3 in track pants and tee shirt.

Holy shit. Not enough fat on you to fry an egg Bartman ! although you'd be better off having them poached without the yolks I'd imagine xzxcool

  • are there any photos anywhere of the nationals Bart?

then go to the NABBA Nationals photos site

and here are some from that site.

  • What are the highlights since you've had time to recuperate? What do you love doing/not doing now the comps are out of the way???

    Are you still training?

  • mate, no highlights yet. Still retaining fluid like crazy and not feeling that flash at all to be honest - bloated and unwell. Not training, took the week off and back into next week. See out trainer on Tuesday and get new programmes and eating plans for the next few months then. Next comp in May or June of next year.

Think the cumulative effect of leaning down twice in two weeks have made the after effects (we retained fluid after the first one too, but only for a couple of days before the body came right) worse. No way would I recommend doing two in two weeks to ANYONE!

Have had some judges talking to my trainer about me going up to the physique class - the massive dude on he right. I wouldn't mind, but Mrs B doesn;t like the 'freaks' very much. I think my legs are already to that level, upper body is where the work would have to be. If I could keep my symmetry I wouldn't mind, but I don't want to look too big. I like the fact that I throw a tee shirt on and no one knows that I am a BB!
