Poaching, or maybe not.

  •
The Chiefs are spreading their wings not only beyond their borders but to overseas as well.

  • It's not poaching if you're asking New Zealand citizens to play in or for their country.

Of course if every New Zealander went home, there'd be a lot of empty rugby clubs over here...

  • cheers Kafe #bringthemhome

Lot less red cards, too

  • This was last week's news?
    Meh really.
They're targetting NZers. So who is poaching who?
Remembering that the ARU have an institutionalised policy of naturalising non-Australian eligible players.
Storm in a tea cup. Good newspaper fodder though.

Yes, and the Australian government has a policy of not allowing New Zealanders to naturalise.

Common sense from the Chiefs.  I'd be surprised if the NZR was not focusing on this market as a possible rich source of talent for the future.

  • NZ cricket should do something similar. Not sure how much NZ eligible talent is out there though.

  • Tawera Kerr-Barlow is an obvious example.

Born over there to NZ parents, however he came back here of his own accord I think.

There must be a few more TKBs over there, but no Quades thanks very much.
