Sam Lousi is beginning to have an impact. This is good news for the Hurricanes as he was pretty dire in the first rounds. But I am inclined to think that Walker-Leawere is a better lock as far as driving is concerned.

A guy currently doing everything right is Viliame Rarasea for CM. Given the demand for locks at Super level he could be being looked at closely.

Rookie Tuiloma has performed OK for Counties. Maybe his fitness is not top notch but he's been hard to stop when driving and his scrummaging has improved. He has the potential to get a SR contract with the Blues.
There is a lot of promising youngsters in the Otago team. Smith could earn a SR contract since Marty Banks is leaving.

Jonah Lowe is one of the best in the competition. Here, I've said it.

It's easy for the likes of Jordie Barrett to play well because they're playing in a team that is playing like a well-oiled machine. Everyone can drive fast in a Ferrari except crap drivers.

Lowe is playing well despite his team, not because of his team. He should get a Super contract. Not sure where, with the Canes already having signed Jordie. Emerson and Garland deserve a mention, too.

I assume that the Canes have already firmly locked Riccitelli in.

It seemed odd when Emerson was omitted from the U20s and Lowe was selected as a winger but Lowe definitely looks much better at this level. Yup, he should get a contract, or WTG at least, bas he's one of the best young talents running around. Not sure if that means he'll get one though.
