It's quiz Monday and as we're getting historical. List the 7 clubs that have at any point held the record for most titles won (either solely or jointly). Preston obviously as they won the first one - but can you name the other 6?

You've got 6 between you - Preston, Sunderland, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United. One more to get and the most recent club to achieve it although still a long time ago.

Kiwipie, the most recent..... The only sides to have won a ton of leagues not mentioned....

    It must be Everton 1987?

Actually Everton 1969-70. Took them to 7, level with Man U, Liverpool & Arsenal. Yes, there was a 4 way tie until Arsenal won it in 1970-71 and then Liverpool took over in the 1970s

That is a superb question in and of itself - which 4 clubs were level on 7 titles and when.....

    1979: Sunderland
    1981: Villa

    Alan Sunderland... Ricky Villa.... ?

I think West Ham won the cup in 1980. So, is the scorer?

The answer is Trevor Brooking - winning goal scorer of the 1980 FA cup.

@Billy-Tell I’m here basking in the glory of beating Man U who were diabolical and we were a little bit better.
Have never forgiven them for the FA cup game in 2023 which had all sorts of ramifications for Fulham.
Would be lovely to think we could go further but Palace are looking good.
I have been kicked off the Fulham forum for life for calling some of them whingers. They were at it again today and even in victory they just grizzle about their own team as much as the opposition.

Yes it is. It's a cute question.

Also it was a statistical oddity that Preston and Burnley had never met before in the FA Cup. In the 1950s, Leeds were drawn at home to Cardiff in the 3rd round three seasons in a row and all 3 of them finished 1-2.
