Millar has a great boot. Just needs some decent coaching

Tony Brown has been around the camp. Ben Smith is an assistant coach. Plenty of decent knowledge. Up to Millar to be a better player.

Huuuge intercept Fakatava. That was a try if it weren’t for that. Good stuff

Shortened line out, so the dummy jump then shift the pod back? I mean how obvious could have have been for the chiefs jumper…

Decent half… Highlanders hung on at the start, evened it up by the end. Chiefs bench the stronger, but we are in the game, so I’m happy with that. Bell, Holland and Lasaqa leading the defensive charge, nice touches out back from Folau and Jimmy.

Haig looks a bit short of a gallop but shit it would be nice for a big guy to assert himself a bit more

@KiwiInLondon I was thinking the same, but in fairness with the way we are using him it could be a case of few touches, but hopefully a big impact. He is ranging wide, but we are playing narrow, so in effect he isn’t in the game. He is playing his role reasonably well.

Agreed, the gameplay seems to overload 5-6 players at the expense of getting all 15 players involved

I’m not sure if this is meant to be a criticism, but I think although some of the kicking is frustrating sometimes, I’d say the gameplan has worked well in that first half. We just have to take this deep, then anything can happen… a bounce of a ball, some magic from Nareki etc.

It’s not, the game plan is working well. It’s a work in progress so let’s see
