    @Rembrandt

I wasn’t that impressed by the last round effort. Yes he walked forward but often straight into AV’s fist and he was missing 3/4s of what he threw. The theatrics of pointing to the ground when you are losing is just frustration. Volk was constantly circling away from the power, as he should, and Lopes couldn’t cut him off and force him the other way

As I said earlier I think he’ll be champ but some flaws were exposed tonight.

    3-2
Better than most of my predictions 😉

Paddy is legit. Chandler was battered.

Finally caught up with the fight night from the weekend.

We have a better idea of Bo Nickal's abilities now. Will be interesting to see how he reacts to that loss. Did anyone else think he looked small? Not sure if he can cut down to WW either given he already cuts a lot of weight. His frame doesn't seem right for the division though

The first two rounds of Mason Jones v Jeremy Stephens was awesome

This weekend Navajo fights again v Ivan Erslan

Yeah great fight and great win for Mason Jones

De Ridder did a job on Nickal. Think De Ridder was too long for Nickal rather than Nickal being small.

The ground work in the first round took more out of Nickal - physically and mentally - and the knees in the second burst the 'Bo Bubble'.

    Sandhagen was immense. Silent assassin.

    @MiketheSnow

Yeah RDR is tall and Nickal isn't the first wrestling specialist that prefers to come in with a softer look

Something doesn't seem right though. Apparently he was 222 earlier in the week and cut down to 185. Those are Alex Pereira cutting numbers but the end result looks very different. It's an enormous cut to not be as lean as plenty of other fighters.

He said he was trying to bulk up for this opponent.

Nice. Still a bit raw and he’ll tighten up that defence next time.

Watching in my car in a carpark. Gave a pedestrian a fright when Stirling got the knockdown.

Rough start but came back well

Well done JDM. Striking always looks good and the work he’s done with Jones makes him very hard to beat

    Fantastic night of fighting.

Great finishes and a couple of passings of the torch.

    Cutelaba was shafted.

Two epic Championship fights. Great heart from Manon but Shevchenko showed why she is the best ever in her division, and possibly of all time.

JDM was immense. Actually brought the best out of Belal. That's the most enjoyable fight I've seen Belal in.

When you look at both his offence and defence JDM is one of the most rounded fighters out there.

Holy shit finally got around to the main event. Amazing performance from JDM. Honestly didn't give him much of a chance against Belal, so good. Love the comment about getting Islam back for Volk. Can't wait!

As for the rest of the card. Other standouts were the Santos v Lee prelim, terrific fight.

Barriault sending Silva off in a stretcher was pretty scary.

    Great win by Stirling.

Jasudavicius dominated, might be against Grasso/Fiorot next.

Malott was awesome but damn cringey in his interview. "Canada I fight for thee" or some shit..

Silva dominated Grasso, such an interesting style of fighter, guess she is next in line for Shevchenko.

Zahabi fight was an absolute roller-coaster, father-time undefeated since Couture's retirement so the end of Aldo.

Shevchenko, Fiorot fight was riveting for the whole 25 mins.

Overall a way better watch than I thought when the card was announced

    Big UFC announcement.

Islam definitely vacating lightweight title, will be fighting JDM for Welterweight title some time in the future
Tuporia vs Olivera for vacant lightweight title at 317 along with Pantoja and Kai Kara France as co-main for flyweight title

Also Du Plessis vs Chamaev at 319

Good to see KKF finally get a confirmed date

Another interesting fight that got announced recently is Whittaker vs RDR in late July

Still waiting for news on the Aspinall v Jones fight

I see Kevin Jousset got cut from the ufc. That seems a bit harsh. 1 win 2 losses, the first lost was to Bryan Battle and the second was in a short notice fight with no camp
